Wow ! you sound exactly like the person i thought you might actually be-simply,Young and Dumb.
'Core strength' 'pushups' seriously?
I dont like bragging about myself but i might tell you that im a physiotherapist where my job involves dealing patients-those includes paralysed,post-pre Op patients, common sports injuries like ACL injuries, rehab as well as dealing with the obese ones and all those normal plebs who thinks that doing pushups alone will increase the 'core strength'(what am i doing here?
. And i work in a reputed hospital plus a fitness centre/clinic.So its such a shame and disgrace for me to hear words like 'pushups increases core strength' and that too coming from someone who has just started doing pushups for a year?a month?.If you dont know about 'core strength' you may quote it simply as 'strength' and you dont have to post misleading info there by decieving fellow forum members might as well STFU.
There are much much better exercises to improve core strength and stability, which i usually advice my patients. Those includes mainly swiss ball exs, isometrics, mat exs...blah blah blah.
Also i d like to advice my patients(young with some exceptions) to do pullups rather than pushups or in a much balanced manner since pushups 'may' strain the back and most people cant do pushups 'properly',while pullups streches out the spine and are much more 'efficient' and 'rewarding' if done properly.(these are my personal views,as you may not find it in wiki or google as you found that 'diamond pushups' lol,and
please...
please...
please...dont link to me to articles saying 'OMG ! PUSHUPS INCREASES CORE STRENGTH !!'.If you link me one i might also ask why do those sports/celibrities/fags etc have personal trainers? Is it because they have money in excess? Why dont they just google those tips like you and do it by themselves?
I dont follow wiki or google because i follow authentic text books like Anatomy-B.D chaurasia,Therapeutic Exercise-Carolyn kisner etc where people actually know what theyre talking about.
And last but not the least sorry for being a little rude, cant help it
