How to get complete virus defenitions updates for AVG? I have'nt a net connection at home. I used to download from the website and manually update the defenitions. Are these updates complete?

I am using Avast Home Edition and its On-access scanner. Is it suited for P.C? Do I need another products like AVG, MacAfee, Norton etc., and which one is better?

i m using AVG free edition. the problem is that whenever i open any ms office file it scans it for viruses which is not necessary. is there any way to disable this.

I am using AVG as the anti-virus software in my computer. I also use DAP or Flashget for downloading files from internet. What settings are required to be done to ensure that all the downloaded files are automatically scanned by the anti-virus software. My OS is Win XP (with SP 2). Thnx in advance.
