[urgent] Infected by a virus...please help!

Hi!!
Please help me!

My PC has been infected by a virus/trojan horse that AVG antivirus identifies as Backdoor.Generic2.PLR or Backdoor.Generic2.EZ

the PC restarts all by itself after a few minutes in normal mode...i do not face any problem in safe mode

I've noticed it mainly infects 1-2 files in the windows/system32 folder everytime i run a scan...
after the scan AVG reports that the file has been healed....
but after restarting the PC into safe mode again...i find that the virus has infected some other file in the same folder
...
I've a got a P4 3.06G, with WinXp-SP2...
4 partitions...the virus does not seem to have spread beyond drive C:
As concerns security...i've installed ad-aware se, avg antivirus and spybot S&D...all of which i update regularly.

Please tell me what i can do....

try installating avira antivirus which also has free version, and run full scan of harddisk. (pcworld has rated it as best free antivirus).

no no. do this.
Try installing NOD32 or Kaspersky or F-secure antivirus;then simply scan all your files.Thats it.
More than that, make sure to use Acronis true image,so that during these situations u can take advantage of this fundoooo thing!
