Haha, you're being as excited as you've got an 8mbps UL plan........

BTW I also know the pain of using dial-up.......I was in a very remote place in my summer vacations where Dial-up doesn't even used to connect @ more than 27kbps.

And yeah, Congratulations dude, now you can download all the 'Garbage' which you want...........

^^ lol...

Now, downloading ArchLinux... (Filled-Void n Voldy, u listening??) :D ;)
ask away ask away... I too can help you here :D
I could see Garbage screaming with joy in IRC yest night.....
Anyways..congrats... Welcome to the leage of UL users :D
UL ? Depends on the plan. Slower than 1MBPS sucks today, unlimited or not.
congrats man
i too will be gettin a broadband connection but the 500 one soon
UL750 sucks compared to H500 if downloading is a main priority of yours.

Congrats, Garbage. I know just how you feel right now.

Makes a big change from dial-up, eh? I use the Home 500 and last week I downloaded a 4.14 GB file in one go, mostly during happy hour - from 2:45 AM to 8:14 AM to be exact. Average d/l speed during the whole 5.5 hrs was 220 KB/s.

Funny thing is, the local BSNL people here are having trouble synchronising their billing system with their metering. So, although I got connected in mid-February (I booked online in 2006!), they have not billed me yet. I talked to the head honcho and it seems, for the time being, I'm enjoying a 2 Mbps broadband for free!
