I don't follow. Do you mean to play it in a spreaded pattern?

I mean i have seen two scale pattern in minor pentatonic scale (one of them i listed above) and then guitarist use the same pattern all over fret (e.g: the start from fret 2 and continue it till the end of the fret without breaking)
there some slight change in the extension but it sounds the same when played in one area of fret

Oh...you mean the horizontal pattern.

It goes like this :

Code:
e|----------------------------------------------10--12------
B|------------------------------------10--12----------------
G|-------------------------7--9--11-------------------------
D|------------------7--9------------------------------------
A|--------5--7--9-------------------------------------------
E|-5--7-----------------------------------------------------

This is A minor pentatonic.

Ghost note.

That is usually carried over from the previous note that you played.

Edit : You don't have to take it seriously. You can skip it or you can play it as per you see fit.

The Slide UP & Hammer On sounds same. So, we can use any of the two (interchangeable)?

No. A hammer on goes up the scale while a pull off goes down. Hammer ons and pull offs are used to save energy while playing fast. So, instead of picking every note you can hammer on or pull off notes on the same string.

It wouldn't make sense to use them interchangeably.

Edit : And no, they do not sound the same. Listen carefully.

Also review your technique. It could be sounding the same because of your technique.

I am asking for hammer-on (H) & slide-up (\) (not pull-off)

Sorry, i was on phone and did not read it well enough.

They do sound similar but they are not the same. However, there are no rules when you should favour one over the other. But there are factors when it is necessary to use the one over the other. If the next note you are going to play is too far away for your finger to reach, you should use a slide otherwise you can use a simple hammer on. But this is just a general example. Other factors could be the pattern of the scale. If you are playing any scale in a caged fashion, using hammer ons make sense since all the notes are easily reachable. However, if you are using the horizontal pattern or a 3-notes-per-string pattern, which could extend all over the neck, it is impossible to reach the next notes which could be very far apart. In such a case, it is more appropriate to use a slide.

Then again, there are no rules and you can just use which ever suits your artistic style.

Similarly, you can use bends as an alternative to hammer ons or slides.

PS: Note that Hammer ons, slides and bends have different attacks and you could use discretion while using them.

yes yamaha pacificas are vfm..where did you find that site,is it reliable?
For acoustic check for local shops, the cheapest yamaha acoustic should be around 6-7 k.If you are in Bangalore you can check them at Furtados or @ brigade road there are couple of shops.
Also check out the indian brand 'GB&A',They are much cheaper and not bad.
But your best bet would be to opt for a second hand guitar.look for Ibanez gio/grgs,squier strats, ltds, epiphone les pauls, jackon has some entry level too and dont expect much.If you want 'near studio quality' equipment look no further than Ibanez RGs,they will last longer.
...
Music taste also matters. If you are in to bolywoood music/regional/Po(o)p then acoustic is suited. For Rock/Metal ;) hmmm..
