hi... one of my friend gave me a dvd...but it was simply not being read on my laptop(acer aspire 5000)...i tried them on my friends pc and it worked...i checked its region code and it was set to region code 3...this code is not meant for india but still it plays all the dvds....his computer is...

Few DVDs r set to region 2 or 4 (Australia/UK) where as our xp r set to region 1 or 5 (US), so when we play a dvd of another region media player / PDVD will ask for a change of region or will do it by itself for few times (5 - 8), then it stop playing the same dvd mentioning tht the region needs...
