why the folder containing 1.42gb file shows EMPTY..?

i have downloaded a movie file which is MP4..

after download finishes i checked the file but its not playable in any player..
nothing is happen while double click..

clicking right click no option have found like Properties, cut, copy, paste..

and the most strange thing folder containing this file shows empty..
there is a big file in it..
but it shows empty..

i never seen like this before..
can anybody explain how to make it normal file..?

Maybe it is hidden. Go to folder options > View > Show hidden files and folders.

This may happen if the file is not completely downloaded & the downloading program is still accessing the file.

If it is completely downloaded, then go to the parent directory of the file where it is stored, and check the properties.

Scan ur computer, restart it and try VLC player

I think the file is corrupted

go to torrent client click on the file and "open containing folder" if u find the same empty folder then it means its hidden with security permissions

First Remove the image link from your post. It violates forum rules. [p0rn ads]

Second,

Select the file with your mouse.

Press Ctrl+C

Goto my documents

Press Ctrl+V

Perhaps he had Adblock Plus activated and couldn't see the advertisements. (same here at first) But he is going off for a day. Should upload pics on a decent imagehost. People browse this forum from home and office. Unacceptable.

Some download programs create dummy files which show full sizes, but actually are only filled progressively. This is to ensure that there is always enough space on the disk for the download. Case in point- DC++

Your file is probably one of those.

Either Download is broken or File is Corrupt.
And how in the name of cow does ever a file shows itslef as empty. I mean you cant look into a file.
Just drag the file into VLC and if fails to play it Then instead of wasting your precious time
Select the folder and hit
Shift+Delete

Earlier most popular torrent clients had similar issues cant say if still the case is same.
I barely use torrents now.

i didnt upload pics intentionally..

i had tried to upload pics here many times..
but browser said upload fails..
so i use file host..
...

And thanks to everyone no need more suggestion..
i solved problem my self..

file is now normal..
problem was nothing..
it has very very long name..
and the file was in two subfolder which has same long name..
i just renamed folder and the file became normal..
