About their service -
Service is very poor. They start considering your problem after 20-30 calls.
It took around 1 month for just an RMA of Asus Motherboard which was only 10 months old.
They keep telling me "sir product is not available with us kindly take a credit note of Rs 6k-7k" and that too for a motherboard of around 11k.
Bt i was not willing to take such a low amount for a high end mobo.
They also gave me repaired mobo on 15th december i think. But just after checking i realised this mobo is also not working. So again i sent a mobo.
I kept calling Kamal from Rashi about RMA of my mobo And he was full of excuses.
And after lil-bit of abusing and all. I got my mobo. Working fine now.

Ok guys, an update:

I Have been in regular contact with Tapan Sarkar @Asus and had communicated with Chandan and Abhishek of the RMA department @Rashi.

Today Tapan told me that the service work was done on the mobo and I should contact Rashi on monday to find out when I can pick up the board.
I told him clearly that I want a replacement if the board is not in satisfactory condition.

If they dont I will boycott Rashi, asus and any other brand sold by Rashi, and request the others to do exactly the same.

Product: Asus P8H67-M EVO

Date of purchase: 13-04-2011

Distributor cum Service center: Rashi Peripherals, Saheed Nagar, BBSR (Bhubaneswar)

RMA No.: 320000004834

RMA challan number: 10542300 (its the I/W Ch No.)

Name of the shop and location: Targous Technology, Plot-No.103 (1st Floor), Saheed Nagar, Bhubaneswar

City: Bhubaneswar

Date of RMA: 29-11-2011

Receive Date of the product: 30-12-2011

About their service:
The day i submitted was Tuesday or Wednesday IMO. They told they would shipping the board (on Saturday of that week) to Mumbai as it was a high-end board and it couldn't be checked in Bhubaneswar. Initially the Staff gave a 20 days time for RMA. When I called them on 20th day, they said board has not yet reached, and again extended it to 3 days more and continuing this way they extended up to 30th ( i.e 11 days more than the desired time). So, they took a month for the RMA.
Moreover I thought they would be giving me a new Mobo, but instead they gave me my old board by repairing it.

Packaging and condition of Product:
The board seemed dusty. The staff just took out a white coloured motherboard box, took my board out of it and simply handed over to me that way. When i asked for the cover, he denied. He didn't even return the motherboard's grey polythene packet in which he had sent the board. Instead he wrapped the board in a newspaper and handed over to me. Hopefully i had been with my brother, so i could carry it safely with me on 2 wheeler else i would have ended up breaking the board while traveling.

Really very disappointing service
:x

So, I went to the Rashi service centre today.

I saw the returns/delivery centre, and oh my god...manhandling is an understatement.

They had fixed my board by gluing on some BS. Talk about quality control...

BUT, the main reason I had sent the board in the first place (RAM slot), had not been fixed at all :rage:

So Mr. Abhijeet, service head, told his people to fix it immediately. But after 25 minutes he told me to bring my own RAM and CPU tomorrow, as he had to bring the Mumbai office into the loop, and get service manuals from Mumbai. Couldn't be done today; I had to go elsewhere.
Rashi is epic fail.

He did give me his number though.

BMG ftw!!
^^ Epic fail.
So what have you decided? Will you go tomorrow with your RAM and CPU? (risking them?)

Yes. Everything will be done in front of me and they will have to pay if any damage is caused by them.

Those *******s, I went with my dad to his shop today because it is very close to the service centre (20 minute brisk walk).

Abhijeet had told me to call him before coming to the service centre. Today he reversed his position. Told me that coming today won't do anything. Now he is gonna send the ****ing board to Mumbai again to get the RAM slot replaced. Told me to call him in the evening to find out the time it will take for this.

BMG ftw!!
^^ THis sucks one again. Why aren't they replacing your board?? From the post of your it sounds like they are spending their own money to replace your board and that's why they are not replacing. I don't understand why these type of distributors keep doing sh!t like this. They are only importer who have certain percentage of profit with every sell recorded, nothing more, noting less. :-/

I have repeatedly told Asus to get the mobo replaced, to no effect.

My dad had a chat with the asus manager Tapan. Tapan will be calling back in an hour or so.

Please let us know the result of the conversation.

****er switched his phone off.*www.thinkdigit.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif

So I called Abhijeet again. Tried to sweet talk me into submitting to his decisions. He said it was gonna take one more week. He said they would have replaced the board if it was still available (as if; and you guys can show him that it is still available right?). So I asked him if I showed him stock availability, would he get the board for me or not. He asked me where it was available. I told him in Mumbai/Delhi (I saw the board online).

BTW the PCB repair they carried out involved hot glue and wire soldering
I told him that I use 4 GPUs (slightly exaggerated claim; I do use 3 ;)) and that the heat would melt that glue and the fix was unacceptable.

I have warned him that 1 week=7 days, and it should not become 8 days whatsoever be the problem. After that I am gonna trash-talk to him in his office.

I would like to request all of my fellow TDF members to help me find physical store stock of the Rampage III Extreme mobo, wherever it may be in the country (this is Rashi after all) so that I can get those runts to replace my board (hopefully).

You're a life saver brother!!

But I must inform you that the IT Depot does not have it in stock (if you look at the page).

Contacted Abhijeet again. Now he is saying that they cannot buy a board back and whatnot after selling it (excuses, excuses).

Also found it here : Asus Rampage III Extreme Intel X58

BMG ftw!!
Tell them even at kolkata, MD Computers have them which are incidentally supplied by them. And did you ever tell him that you will go to consumer court with all the documents and lodge & complaint about harassment? (this works)

yes. Tapan Sarkar is the eastern region service manager.

d6 I had told abhijeet exactly that-MD has the board. If you read my post again, you will see that I wrote that he said that they cannot buy back a board that has already been sold.

BTW I have used the escalation option in the Asus website. Lets see.
