The guitars's body resembles an Ibanez prestige 1570?[not sure because of the fret inlays and the input for the cord is below the knobs as in the 'S' series][.the amp is a Laney lionheart l50h head.

I asked people on the UG forums they say that its simple distortion along with the tremolo bar, nothing special about it. The scale that he uses (probably a Harmonic minor) gives it an Indian flavour.
Look inside soundhole towards where the neck attaches to the body - if there's a hole there, thats where your truss adjustment rod goes in, else its near headstock.
