Then linux is cr@p as linux does not run on NEW computer and laptops. there is no driver support. :D

6.Linux Uses too much memory & its effects are ver very poor
wrong linux uses memory more efficiently.for more u shud see the linux kernel changelog.so 6th point is a FUD.

Need to get my lazy @$$ to do that. Now that I got an UL connection, I should offer no excuses for that.

Planning to start a thread in OSS section soon to get support for my nOObish questions. :D

I installed XP before things like that happened. This is the 9th year of my PC and for 6 months or so only the optical drives are not working. That too I'm sure it would've worked had I been used my PC often.

Uhh, how can you pirate it? Its support you pay for there, and the repositories which are secured with an access based system ... :-\

That was a prank
Atleast understand it when I say LGA

Vista has all features either copied from Linux or From Mac

People at microsoft at great at innovating from what already exists

Usually for Linux, its linux which copied everything from Vista & Mac OS

Beryl was copied from Aero/Aqua which uses a GPU to render the UI.

Wrong, Microsoft demonstrated the GPU accelerated UI in 2003 with Longhorn 5xxx builds. Compiz came after that & is still under developement for stability & features to use a GPU efficiently, while Aero is already stable & final which scales according to the GPU.

GFX requirements for Vista: Nvidia 5200 GPU
GFX requirements for compiz: Intel onboard :D

Hmm.. i wonder which is more GPU efficient..

Gah, GPU efficiency can't be gauged by the adapter? What can gauge it then? :\
How much work a GPU is able to do per clock cycle then other GPU.

For exaple, A GeForce 8600GT running at 100 Mhz does more work then a GeForce 8400GT running at 200 MHz.

GFX requirements for Vista: Nvidia 5200 GPU
GFX requirements for compiz: Intel onboard

Beryl is indeed more light but not efficient. Efficieny is different. I m myself saying from day 1 of longhorn beta that everything Aero provides or shows can be achieved in DirectX 8 but the speed & GPU resource usage will be higher then a direct x 9 version because DirectX 9 version of aero can do more work per click cycle of GPU then DirectX 8 version of Aero
