How many here (In India ) don't use any UPS?

The original question was to non-users of UPS :p

But, like others am replying too - I'm using APC UPSes for 7+ years. They are great. Nothing like them. :)

No ups. My system restarts once or twice a month. Here we have uncut and super stable power for weeks. Though you can compensate for ups by having a good psu with a wide range of input voltage and overvoltage protection.

No UPS here either.Had couple of power cuts but not so frequently.Will think of getting one before monsoon as had a bad experience of surge late last year.:mad:

No ups even i have faced frequent power cuts..
but still i dont have any problems with my system.. (by luc:rolleyes:k)

I don't use any.

I bought an APC UPS, some 4.5 years ago with the computer. It blew itself 3 times within the warranty period. I got it replaced, though.

For some 3 years, we have no UPS. It irritates me when the power supply goes off when I'm doing some important work.

i m not using ups
coz i hav a compuinverter at home ( a inverter with high power with specail quota for desktops )

so if light goes i get backup of around 5-6 hrs on my inverter much better than ups.

and for laptop the battery is always charged

one of my pc doesn;t have U.P.S but i have put an Surge protector to it(just like an extension board but with surge filter)

these days reliability is very less so i suggest folks to go for ups or some protection atleast....i have another pc with APC-UPS-.5KVA

I love to suggest UPS for someone and i hate to use UPS for my PC..
I am a PC user from 99 and till now i won't use any UPS....
Its like allergic to my PC... If i connect my PC with UPS it starts responding and show me an error msg says that "Please disconnect me from the damn UPS..":-D
