Optimus One and Wildfire S lack processing power and Galaxy Ace has pathetic screen.
So go for Motorola Defy.
Another Option : Spice MI410; pretty powerful device but thanks to Spice (currently) unable to show its full potential

moto DEFY is the best choice for budget this budget.
But if u increase ur budget a little bit to 19k then go for NexuS s

Android Phone- Better than Spice Mi-310 in 8k?
After using a phone for 1 year which was earlier used for 4-5 years by other family members, I need to change it as its dead now.
1. Budget? 8K
2. Display type and size? 320x480. Read somewhere that its better than 240x400 thats why
3. Form Factor? bar, slider, flip? Bar/Slide
4. Preferred choice of brand? N/A
5. Preferred input method (QWERTY, touchscreen, numpad, touch-n-type). Touch.
6. What camera option you want? Please specify need for flash, autofocus, front facing camera.

7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc). Android...
8. Preferred connectivity options (3G, Wifi etc)Please specify clearly. WiFi is not necessary, but a plus point.
9. Preferred applications (Flash, Swype, GPS, etc)? N/A
10. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, mails, internet, gaming etc)? Net + Texting
11. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
I looked at Spice Mi-310. Looks a great phone, reviews are good too. The only problem is that its spice..
And all reviews were those that "use for 2 days and review", I have no idea what happens to phone after 3-4months...
12. Any other info that you want to share
I was going to wait till March/April for purchase but now the phone is totally dead and I need to change it. I am going to purchase it in 3-4 days locally, not online!! You can say that this thread is only to find a better phone that Mi310.
If any of you have used a Spice Mi310, please share your views on it too...

if you can increase your budget by 1-1.5k (& seriously do consider), get Optimus One.
if you can't increase budget: Galaxy Pro, Galaxy Pop, Galaxy 551 (last 2 suffering from bad backup). Micromax A70 if you want exactly what you asked for.
but still, try & get O1. you won't regret.
MI310 is a lowend mobile. AVOID.

I have personally got my hands on wildfire S and its a very nice phone for 12k.
Now please help me choose among HTC Salsa,Wildfire S and Moto Defy.

FIT is BAD. low resolution on an Android mobile never looks good. and with half the amount of ram as on Optimus One, this one should be first to be ruled out.

under sunlight, visibility is a problem. screen is bright but also glossy.
bundled headphones have earbuds, so comfortable to wear. sound quality is descent but stock player doesn't have any equalizer.
