Bro, already have bought one yureka :))
And the specs are same as desire 820 except 2600mah battery, thats why.
Quality seems good, satisfied with it so far, support may be an issue though.

ohh if you are satisfied with the Yureka,go ahead
its not like they are overpricing Yureka or something
for 9k,the specs are a sweet deal:)

For 9k it is now making the mid rangers feel low rangers

+1. I suppose if the yureka works fine and the support comes good as promised, it will be nice competetion to the samshit and other margin mongerer phones imho.
But ultimately, i think i will gift her the OPO.

That is a personal preference and I respect that.

A friend of mine wants to sell me his 9 months old sony xperia t2 ultra dual for approximately Rs 12000-is it worth buying at this price? The phone is in very good condition and has about 3 months warranty left. Please advice what should i do.

buy it only if you want a big display..otherwise, i feel there are much better options @ 12k that give better specs and a full year warranty.

I don't want to compare it with Yu Yureka, though it has better SoC, 1 gb extra ram, Gorilla Glass 3 and 5 mp front cam, I can't say about the after sales service. Do remember that sony charges upto 70% of the MRP just to replace a broken screen, post warranty. There is no point in spending that much IMHO.

Zenphone 5, Moto G would be better with warranty and updates. Sony doesn't gives bug free updates to its lower priced phones, prime examples would be Xperia L, SP.

^Does that mean if the screen somehow develops a problem after warranty expires,I may have to shell out as much as 70% of its MRP just to get it replaced or fixed?

yup..sony usually charges more than 50% for display replacement..
If you're happy with 5 inch display, go for moto G..Performance wise, it will be similar to t2 ultra( if not, better)..
If Brand name is not an Very important factor, Yu yureka from micromax is a gr8 option..

Both phones should be getting timely updates.. I lost my trust on sony after it failed to provide even 4.3 JB update to xperia L..despite good specs, it is forever stuck on a buggy 4.2. :(.

This is really atrocious-charging >50% just to replace the display is simply unacceptable,do other brands like samsung, motorola, asus etc also have a similar policy as far as display replacement is concerned?

Samsung and HTC too charge 50% of phone price for replacing display.

Imagine someone buying S5 for around 32k (?) and paying 27k again if the screen needs to be replaced post warranty (54.3k is the MRP) while he could've bought a Oneplus One for 22k instead.

This is absolutely ridiculous-it seems manufacturers like sony, samsung etc are robbing their customers in broad daylight with their obnoxious policies and practices-charging so much merely to replace a defective display seems like a deliberate ploy to force people to discard their old phones and go for a new one instead(preferably from the same brand) as no one in their right mind will pay so much to get their old phone fixed.
