if for 25k, its a really good deal. but then SE Neo too should come within 25k but with Timescape (UI) & Gingerbread. but slightly smaller screen.

look here.

If SGS II launches for 28K in india, its a lot more waiting for its launch to get it, rather than getting dell venue or SE neo for 25 K!!!
I heard that HTC usually launches mobiles almost at the same time globally. So, does that mean that the Desire S launch in india is quite soon???

hehe.. seems the wait thing is gonna go forever if i keep waiting for newer models..

confused :p

SGS II, Desire S, etc etc......

For now i have shortlisted these..
1. HTC Desire
2. Dell Venue
3. HTC Desire HD

Was planning to buy something by end of this month.. now wondering if i should wait more or buy one right away.. :-s

I would pick Venue among those three. Desire is kind of old and HD has very poor battery life and okayish display.

btw, look for Galaxy SL which is coming out for 20k-22k. it's SGS with S-LCD display, slightly less ram (478MB) but more user memory (16gig) and bigger battery (1650mAh)

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is very good with a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 processor and also has Mediascape, for all your music, photos and videos. Samsung Galaxy S has a 4 inch Superb Amoled screen and is great for HD video. Motorola's Milestone was the first one and still has many takers. But the best is indeed the Desire HD is one of the largest Android phones - go for it even at the cost of battery.

suggesting X10? :flu-surprised3:

Milestone is old. its H/W is old & its software is old. for Op's budget, he can get better mobiles with QWERTY.

^^Non-default OSes won't work properly. Plus, if you don't have any idea of installing custom firmwares, it is not recommended to do so.

Okay, so the SE Xperia Neo & Arc are out for preorders now. But prices are steep. Hence I would recommend the OP to wait for the prices to come down.

Yes,you have a dual boot but its not like choosing OS on start-up rather you have to install the whole OS again over the installed OS.

@pauldmps:The stock OS pre-loaded arent best either. Its generally considered to have a custom firmware to extract the maximum out of device. An example-Nokia N900 and HTC Touch Pro 2 have FM radios HW but they were not enabled by default its after modding they are enabled and work flawlessly.

@Sam.Shab:Even processors can be fried due to improper overclocking. The thing is simple, read and understand the instructions before attempting anything and the process is not a very big task once you understand and follow it correctly.

^^ My view is "Incredible job HTC". Wait till it is out of pre-orders. In that way, it should cost a little less. Also wait for some reviews since HTC phones are known to have poor battery life. Still a great phone considering that it will receive the Gingerbread update soon!

Now where is the Wildfire S, HTC ?
