Initially, I settled for Galaxy S but the battery backup kills me most of the time. I was in same ship like yours, but finally settled for optimus one and ipod 4g but my badluck getting nexus s this week so will be selling Optimus one soon.
Bad news guys...SGS has been discontinued as i went to 3-4 local resellers last night and nobody was having SGS....!!
And a good News...LG is holding a press conference may be today or tomo [As told to me by the Reseller]....and they might be releasing some more Android handsets...so lets hope its 2x on the way to India.

I would have really loved if LG would be launching its dual core Tegra 2 smartphone Optimus 2X now but it will take some more time to hit the Indian markets.
LG announced that they are launching Optimus 2X in Korea ( native country) in February via SK telecom . The color offered is White. It was looking gorgeous in the pics atleast.
It will be heading towards Europe afterwards in March. So we have to wait till April it seems.
As far as SGS going off the block might eventually end up as a good news for new mobile buyers. Samsung(Google) Nexus S might be coming soon !!!!!! So Samsung might not want a product cannibalization. The other option Samsung might have to reduce the price of SGS by tune of 5-6 k to accomodate the approx 25k pricing of Nexus S but this might end up hurting sentiments of more thant 1 Million buyers of SGS.

Xperia X10 has performance issues... also it doesnt has multitouch support on its pre installed OS..
there might be some updates or newer Roms which might take care of the mutitouch thing..

Nexus s with s-lcd and even pricies than sgs. No from me. Nexus s should be less pricier than sgs coz of s-lcd screen, no gorilla glass and microsd slot(though 16gb internal storage is enough)

This one has now a new update...which has some performance tweaks and also will add multi touch support....but still it will be on eclair....not good
Samsung is gonna launch SGS variant....with all the same features as SGS except it will hv an LCD screen,16gb internal memory(nice!!!!) and a larger battery of 1650mAh (cool!!!!!)....anybody knows how much will be the cost....
I think better than Defy...Samsung Ace and Gio will be better choice....

expect cost to be same (as SGS2 is coming).
Gio is a 3.2" with a fast processor & Ace a bigger screen with low res & with a proper camera.
Guys from where can i get a ipod touch 4g 8gb at a decent price in Mumbai?
I tried looking at few stores... they quoted ipod touch 4g 8gb for abt 14 to 15k.. is it the correct price?
infibeam is quoting it at somewhere around 12k..

yeah. around 14k is okay price but I don't think it's a good idea to go for 8GB as it gets filled real fast. Get 32GB atleast. price diff shouldn't be much. order online and you will get it for some 16k I think.

Venue is an awesome device and is one of the best droids. It's price is kind of heavy right now. Venue Pro is WP7 device and I would give it a pass.
Is it better than HTC Desire?
I think i could get it for abt 25k.. would that be a good deal?
