Updating Gaming Rig
Hi Guys,
Long time to post my updates, so here are fews.

  1. 1. Razer Megasoma Mouse Pad (very expensive for a mouse pad :-D )

  2. 2. Microsoft Sidewinder X8 Wireless Gaming Mouse (3400/- inc Tax)

  3. 3. MSI GTX 470 Graphics Card (18000/- inc Tax)
  4. 4. My old Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard (4350/- inc Tax in Year 2008)

.......Continuing with Diwali shopping updates. . .

5. Coolermaster HAF-X Cabinet (11900/- Inc Tax)
GTX470 was causing too much heat along with my 4 HDD and processor.
So it was time to change the cabinet.
Coolermaster HAF-X was the best for this type of environment.
My room is dust free so cleaning was
no glitch then gave it a shot and it worked again, overall temperature dropped dramatically.
It comes with pre-installed four Fans (Front, Side, Back and Top),
which are full speed & noiseless even at night.
I liked Corsair 800D, but it lakes in eye catching department :twisted:

6. Scythe Kaze Server (2850/- Inc Tax)
Cabby was looking nice but needed some lights and numbers, so next day got one Fan Controller
to monitor temperatures and fan speed.
It comes with 4+2 extra temp. sensor and control four fans individually
and can switch on/off its display without interrupting fans.
Can set it to turn off fans if desired temperature is achieved.

Chose this over NZXT sentry coz its very fast to use, just select
from Auto/Semi/Manual mode and rotate (as fast as you can) the knob.

Clicked so many photos, posting a few... Enjoy..

Congratulations. What a nice cabinet. Full tower is the way to go. Nice. Have the same fan controller unit -- love it.

Be careful when you apply pressure on push-pins. At times you can shatter the mother boards. Now that would be a disaster.
:)

i just hate the pushpin mechanism :evil: bolt down HSF are far far better. money extra spend on them is really worth. AMD HSF is also very easy to install.

Impressions:
X-Mini Max 2 - It's a damn good portable speaker. Simply the best in category.

Dell Ultrasharp - Brilliant colors. Passes LCD tests, most of them. And four USB ports are nice :p

Will post some final setup pics later

U2311 is an excellent IPS panel. Congrats man. . . :razz:
Post your opinion about its input lag and response time in some
fast paced games (Blur, Split second, Metro 2033 etc)

@Piyush
Thanks. It's a huge upgrade over my 17' LG Studiworks CRT monitor.
Now I'll have to get a good UPS and PSU.

Yeah, colors are so perfect and I can watch from any angle. I'll have to get high def movies now as the ones lying on my PC are mainlu
are mainly low def and looks like crap on the screen. Watching movies will be awesome :p 4 USB ports are quite handy for X-mini and other devices.

Did you get you package in Dell's seal or was it opened and then sealed by SMC ?

I can claim warranty for it from dell as the bill doesn't mention the serial no but only the name ?

@Sam.Shab
Thanks.

@damngoodman999
Thanks. I was opting for Ben! 24' because of low response time but changed the opinion and that was a nice decision.

@asingh
Thanks.

Will check the seal thingy tomorrow. And for warranty, you wont be needing the bill, but the Order number which is mentioned on the box.
