@nginx
Why bother about the GS series if you can opt for higher ones? And with a budget of 1 lac, you can easily go for HX or AX series as Mario suggested. So just get the TX750 if that's what you want.
Trust me, for an 100k budget get a tx850, since you are going to get a formal job in less than a year from now, you may upgrade then, a good psu lasts years and do not lose relevance, heck hx620s are really old but hold great value.
@nginx: that was one review. I had posted 2 more reviews elsewhere.They found no issues with some of the cons in that review.
Either it was defective peice or faulty reading.
@Skud and nginx
Thanks guys
I know the budget is quite big but I am having to buy too many high grade components which is making even a 105k budget look small. I mean I have to cut cost somewhere right? Or else I would end up spending 1.5 lacs
Will definitely consider it. I have already given a lot of time and thought behind deciding the wattage of the PSU taking into consideration future upgrades. According to calculations, a 750W PSU can even handle GTX 570 SLI. Do I really need more power than that? I seriously doubt it. One thing's for sure, I am not going to SLI GTX 590 anytime soon, if ever.
Damn! So hard to trust reviews these days.
You're welcome
@mystic:which board and what cooler?
For 580 sli the tx950 fits the bill, 570 sli can be powered by tx750 IMO.850 is barely enough for 580 SLI.(no OC headroom)
750v2 can possibly power it,but it is borderline with little room for OCing.
Get 850W for 570 SLI and 950-100W for 580 SLI.
the 750 is a great model so it can handle it,but i would always avoid peaking the power draw.
