Oh that's cause its a multi-language version which's leaked. I guess the single language would be around 300-400 MB.

Nero 7 hogs ur memory. So if u hav lower mem. go for Nero 6. For basic CD/DVD writing, Nero 7 is a definite no-no.

U can try DP CD DVD Burner 1.1 Beta 8. It is just 618KB in size!!!

What kind of CD/DVD can one write with Nero 7, that one can't in Nero 6 ??

I am very happy with Nero 6.

I installed Nero 7 just to check out the Network burn feature, its good but doesn't work on multisession cd's.

And ya when BR and HD-DVD becomes widely available, i will be forced to install their new version, as of now Hail Nero 6. :)

you should upgrade to nero 7 .I will say upgrade to nero 8 .

I have noticed increase in writing speed in nero 7 a lot comparing to nero 6 and little bit in nero 8 comparing to nero 7 .

i still use nero 6. it does a find job for me. there mebbe some incompatibilities wid multisession DVDs burnt wid nero 6. thats the only drawback. but i stay away from it hence no problem. nero 6 is the last non-bloated version!

if multisession dvds are ur requirement then i suggest nero 7 (not the retail version but the lite or micro version).

Is actually a real word..
Nero.com has a package to purchase Nero 8 ultra and as a bonus they give you nero 7 ultra.... So how good do you think those 2 peices of software are. I downloaded nero 8 for my vista, works good but thats cuz there is hardly anything (other programs) on my vista machine. If I want to backup a movie I still use nero 6.6 ultra. if you have 6 I would stick with 6, unless you're made of money.

I dont think theres any problem with multisession DVD's written in Nero 6. I had been using Nero 6 since long and do write a multisession DVD almost every day and never faced a problem.

i'm not talking about problem wid writing. i'm talking compatibility.

btw, vista doesn't officially support nero 6. i tried to run it, however, but there were lotsa problems.

"Nero 8 will have at least the same functions as Nero 7 has but video and sound editing will even be better and provide new features!
As Nero 8 can be pre-ordered since some days you can get Nero 7 for free to use this version until Nero 8 will be available in October.
Nero 7 supports Windows Vista since version 7.5.7.0
You can download the latest Nero 7 version from our website (free of charge for all Nero 7 customers!):
In addition you can download all Nero 7 manuals from the Nero website:
*www.nero.com/nero7/eng/User_Guides.html" (this is a response I got from an email I wrote to Nero.. as u can see nero 6 isn't supported for vista)
