save the file as nosound.reg and run the file.you may get some warning...but ignore them.
And remember to make a restore point before trying this.

Thats what we are here for! Good to hear you got it solved. vishal is the real hero though, was just surprised someone else opened a new thread on the same subject and got his answered and you were still pulling your hair out (assuming you still have some left) I think vishal's way is a little easier to understand then ravi's...

Yeah I still hv few of my hairs . VG solution is much more easier than that of ravi. But thanks 2 ravi for posting in this thread.
