Please suggest me best configuration.

1. What is the purpose of the computer? (Note: If you are planning to say multimedia, you will have to be more specific as all types of systems are capable of doing that)
A: Gaming (Only FIFA Series), Web browsing, Movies, Occasional work on MS-Office etc.

2. Are you open to alternate ideas/products giving similar better performance but offering more VFM/ sellers? If not- why?
A: Yes.

3. What is your MAX budget?
A: 30k

4. Planning to overclock?
A: May be in future.

5. Which OS are you planning to use?
A: Windows 7, Ubuntu (Dualboot)

6. How much hard drive space is needed?
A: 500GB

7. What resolution will the screen run at & whats the size of the screen you want? If you already want have one and want to use it, mention its resolution and size.
A: 1920*1080. 18” or 20”. (Full HD)

8. How would you rate your hardware knowledge from the count of 1-10? (1 being the lowest, 5 being you are somewhat in sync with the current performers and 10 being the highest)
A: 6

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A: Never build before. Please suggest if building own machine will be cost effective.

10. When are you planning to buy the system?
A: 10 Days

11. Are you one of the types looking out for "future proof" configurations?
A: Yes. Want to be able to play next 4-5 editions of FIFA.

12. Are there going to be any components that you don't want to include in this new rig? If yes, do mention.
A: No.

13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A: Thane. I think I will find everything I need in Mumbai or Thane.

14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A: I had shortlisted i5-2500k and a MoBo with front connector for USB 3.0. But it is exceeding my budget too much.
Please Consider following point:
1. Do I really need i5-2500k to meet my usage requirement and be future-proof?
2. I am considering Intel only. Never used AMD.
3. I want MoBo with provision to have USB 3.0 in front.

BMG ftw!!
9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
A: Never build before. Please suggest if building own machine will be cost effective.

Yes, building own PC is very much cost effective.

At your budget (i.e. 30K) you can't get 2500K. So, you 'have to' opt for AMD based config.

thanks d6bmg. :)

fifa is nothing until you have Microsoft Xbox360 Controller @ 1.3k and a 22" full hd screen.
and if you have a HDD currently then dont get a new one. HDD prices are have increased a lot!
invest in the things i mentioned. for monitor - Benq G2220HD @ 6950.

I bought almost the same system and it is good.....

Don't keep in mind that AMD is bad.... When its comes to budget.... Intel can not beat AMD....

If yous are still have Intel in mind.... Increase your budget....

I guess 6670 is enough for OP's needs.

Legend Never Ends
Never ditch Amd quad cores for i3s. You will regret it later. Fit in a Xbox controller as suggested by Jaskanwar.

Thankfully i already have Xbox controller.
Is it anyway possible to buy equivalent Intel configuration if i don't buy HDD, Monitor, Keyboard-Mouse right now?

Or by how much it will stretch my budget?

Recently i read some articles about Intel vs AMD which said "Current" Intel processors fair better than AMD's.

Also please suggest a shop in Mumbai-Thane if i decide to build machine on my own.

I think Tenida has given a very good config, like the inclusion of Phenom II X4 955BE.
At your budget the only possible Intel config is :
Intel Core i3 2100 Dual Core @ 6.3K
Asus DH61 based mobo @ 3.5K

If you want a Quad core Intel Sandybridge processor, then the cheapest one, i5 2300 will cost you around 8.7K to 9K.

I second the need of a 22" Monitor , this is coming from someone whose PC runs FIFA 12 for almost 6 hours on average.

Agreed. A minimum of 22" screen and XBOX controller for FIFA lovers.

can someone explain me the use of 955BE for these?

What's the harm to include 955BE which is more future proof than Athlon X4 and also its under OP's budget.
