hansraj: thanks. yes my main use will be for web surfing when I go to my home.

Luffy: thanks for the link. . I guess the price of Moto G in India may be around 16-17k. thats why I had to stretch a little long. :) The un-removable battery is also my concern what if it died, then how to replace it?

here i found a link about its bench marks.. please analyse it and inform me how is this in comparison to the competition.

Re: Mobile Buying Guide

My bro is choosing one out of foll. mobiles.
1. Huawei Ascend G610,
2.Lenovo A850 &
3.Gionee Elife E3.

In terms of Specs Gionee Elife E3 is best but poor battery & igyaan has mentioned few hang up & in call speaker is poor.

Can anyone please mention if we can transfer apps & their data to Micro SD card in Huawei Ascend G610. I've no idea of Lenovo A850 except it has slightly better SOC.

Any other better options under 12k with dual sim, good battery & 5 or 5inch+ display??

Re: Mobile Buying Guide

@ Toofan
If You are into Gaming, extra memory is must.
If want to shoot photographs in daylight only, 8MP camera is OK.
If You will not install any extra unnecessary apps
then A114 / Canvas 2.2 is OK.

If You want better Pics,
with good memory & do not want to bother
about memory problem.
Gorilla Glass is here.
Get Canvas 4.

You can install most apps without problem of memory.
Skype will show better pics from its front camera on 3G network.

Battery will stand for 1 day for both,
but this should not be an issue.
You can use Power Bank easily, if needed.
Power Bank is external Battery for Mobiles &
their cost starts from 500 onwards.

But we start using our Mobiles
as more powerful device as computers.
Later You may need better mobile, so get Canvas 4 now
to avoid future expenditure.

You can get Canvas 4
approx 14K or 14,200/- or 14.500/-.
Try in market for 14K price in your city or nearby showroom / shop.

I am using Micromax A77, Canvas Juice.
It has huge battery of 3000mA.
Camera of 5MP is smaller, but works good in daylight.
You can consider this also, if You do not like to use mobile camera.
You can tranfer Pics etc from phone memory to Extra Micro SD Card manually.
If You want to surf only,
Micromax A77 is also cheaper & better at just 8K.
I am getting habitual with its keyboard.
Do not expect from Micromax to give kit-Kat sooner or later.

Take extra warranty with Breakage etc to be insured with some cost with no tension.
Micromax have better presence in terms of Service Centres in India than any other new company.

If You like Android,
Samsung Grand 2 is OK for Multi-Window type Feature.

Nokia Android is also in news now.
See how & when it will come out.

If You are ready to afford / take risks,
go for this toy.

Otherwise,
Nexus 5 has its own charm & more support in software & hardware both.
My vote is for Nexus 5.

If You like Android,
Samsung Grand 3 is OK for Multi-Window type Feature.

You can also check:
Sony Xperia C
Nexus 4

@ xperia c: qhd screen,mediatek processor.....
@Nexus 4: little too stock so guess won't get some special features plus worse battery(though I know fastest OS updates)

Get the Grand 2 for:
Very good camera.
Good display.
Good hardware.
Samsung's usefull/unecessary softwares.
Better updates (atleast you will get 4.4 for sure)

Watch some gaming review and camera comparison on youtube and decide on your own :)

Thanks thought the same watched the gaming review it's fine just heard u can't move apps to sd card and u get 4.2gb for apps or so otherwise looks a really good phone.

Also is it's price expected to drop sooner like after samsung galaxy s5 release or so?

Edit: also what about xperia T2 ultra coming soon will it fall in same price bracket is it good?

Note3 Neo is also incoming which should replace Note2 so Grand 2's price will drop under 20k over the next 2-3 month. And moving app to external memory will most likely be enabled by some future update just like S4. For now, 23k price is not justified by Grand 2.

Re: Mobile Buying Guide

Those who are looking for a good feature mobile
and can wait,
there are many new launches pending for Mobile World Congress.
You can see many new models from Nokia, Sony, Samsung etc.

Samsung drops its price with every new launch in every quarter
results are significant price drops, also felt in market with others brands too.
In late March or early April most of the current market will be changed comapritively.

Re: Mobile Buying Guide

Is this a sweet price on Grand 2 ? Rs. 20,092.50

I got after corporate discount. Or should I wait for price to lower even more. ?
