@sam or any expert

How would you rate the performance of 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor in comparison with any Dualcore 1ghz or 1.2ghz Cortex A9 Soc.

I heard that many apps and games do not work or have compatibility issues on Intel based phones.

Re: Mobile Buying Guide: April 2013

@Sam : You must update the SoC n GPU performance list. Toppers would be Quadcore Krait & Adreno 320 respectively

Its more powerful than 1.2GHz Dual core A9 found in S2, but still behind S3. That should give u a rough idea. It's the best performer in ~20k segment but still Intel phones still have android update problems, still 4.1 is in devlopment for Intel based phones

Xperia Ion is worth the buy. It has bigger screen than SL with SD card support. Only con according to me is BT 2.1. But still better than iPhone 5's BT :-D .

Thanks! So i guess all high end games could be played as well as full HD 1080P videos.
Can you please confirm if all apps from Android play-store compatible with 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor or not?

read X900 review. you'll know. Currently around 1% tabs & mobiles has Intel processor so many apps (specially games) doesn't support it.
And X500 is not VFM. Other than processor everything is low grade.

@Sam - Correct Huawei G510 link. It leads to y300

:oops: will do it soon. thanks.

@sam
thanks!
Actually I never tracked intel powered phones and do not even intend to purchase one.
After reading about the launch of asus fonepad a thought of comparing it with samsung tab2 3100 came to my mind so put up this query.

Btw can we expect some soc's from AMD like Temash for win8 tabs?

at least for now, AMD won't support Android. Simply because they are no match for Qualcomm. Even Intel is not able take any ground away from ARM army. AMD has no chance.

Re: Mobile Buying Guide: April 2013

Given a choice between Lenovo p770(13.5k-14K) and Galaxy S Advance(12.5K after coupons), which should one buy?
Lenovo has better and newer Hardware and Samsung as service center presence

X86 based SOCs(from intel and AMD) are yet to find favorable footing with the developer community, as coding and porting for x86 is decidedly much different than doing it for ARM ones
there are no custom ROMs like Cyanogenmod, AOKP or anything,
be ready to stay at Stock for now.
But it is true that you'd get a very very good battery life with them
If you want flexibility and customisability choose ARM based phones,
but if stock is OK for you, then there is no reason not to go for Intel based Smartphones

This was the reaction of a Orange San Diego(Xolo x900) owner when asked about his choice between Huawei G300 and Orange San Diego (XOLO X900)

Recently my friend bought three Lenovo P770 the phone pretty good comparing to this price range. Earlier I asked about this phone but seems to nobody purchase it.

*Battery backup is fantastic.
*Lenovo Touchwiz is well customize for dual sim mode.
*Screen quality is also good.
*3G work fine. No issue.
*Build Quality is better than Samsung.

Please avoid Alcatel as its not VFM.

For battery life & dual sim support - lenovo p770
If you want a mob from established brands then L9 or wait for sony xperia L.

L7 II is very overpriced

Xolo Q800- I would better stay away from such company who do not even disclose the service centre list.
