AMD Athlon II X4 635 - 5k
MSI 785G E53 - 5.3k or u can look into Gigabyte Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H for arnd 4.5k.Only problem being it aint available anywhere except at smcinternational for tht price. Moreover u hv to personally call 'em up n ask for the MoBo as it aint listed on their site.At techshop.in u can get it for 5.1k.
2GB DDR3 RAM - 2.3k
500GB HDD - 1.9k
FSP Saga 500W - 2.2k
CM ELITE 310 - 1.6k
DVD Writer - .9k
Sapphire HD5670 512MB - 5k
LG 2043T 20" - 6.8k

Total = 30.8k(with Gigabyte MoBo)
31k(with MSI MoBo)
Now these r all online prices without shipping. So try finding some of the items at ur local retailer so the cost can come down.

You wont be able to run all new games at full hd 1080p with a slow card. But ssb has mentioned the bare essentials. I would suggest a cheaper motherboard since you don't plan on overclocking. Go for something around 3k or lesser for a mobo. Use the rest of the money to invest in a better graphics card.

Even I too was thinkin of tht but u can't find a MoBo for 3k tht supports DDR3 1333MHz(the cheapest from Biostar was TA785G3 - 4k,Gigabyte GA-M68MT-D3 - 2.8k but based on nVidia chipset,MSI 785GM-P45 - 4k) thats y suggested the aforementioned MoBo in the post!
But if OP finds a MoBo for 3k then he can invest the saved 2k into GPU!!

Ya, 740G based mobos are available, but putting a new gen Athlon II or Phenom II processor over it is really not a good idea. 740G is nothing but updated version of older 690G chipset. It only supports PCI Express 1.1 X16 slot and Hyper Transport 1.0 compared to PCI Express 2.0 and Hyper Transport 2.0 in current generation mobos.
Also advance features of overclocking, advance Clock Calibration (ACC) willbe not available @ this chipset.

ssb- You missed ASUS M4A78LT-M LE ? 3K approx iirc
(Socket AM3, HyperTransport 3.0, 760G, DVI port, EPU for power saving, 6x SATA ports, Anti-Surge protection, Express gate, ...)
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

Cilus- I have mentioned similarly earlier but maybe not many seem to realise that it's very important for all parts of a system to go hand in hand.
Many a times, we become very rigid in fitting everything within the budget when maybe stretching the budget a bit may help significantly.
I do understand that sometimes budgets are already stretched too far.
But i feel it's our duty as a good and responsible member to also atleast mention the better option/s alongside, esp if it increases gains/VFMness significantly.
Just a few thoughts from my side to all- please do not take it personally.

There might have been some issues with entry-level mobos earlier but the mid range and high end ones have always been good afaik.
All the new boards looks very promising in terms of feautures and quality.
ASUS is also offering burnt and corrosion warranty on all motherboards now - E.L.I.T.E. Service
If you guys see any issues, please do start a thread for the same.
