Bad to the bone
This is the new Mozilla based browser which makes downloading torrents as easy as possible.

Wyzo is an awesome new browser that optimizes your online media experience. It will accelerate your web downloads, let you download torrents with a single click, discover media in your browser and much more.
As shown in the screen shot it works perfectly through WINE; though I am yet to test it by torrent download. As per its website native Linux version will be available shortly.

Reminds me of the world's first ford car. Apparently Henry Ford forgot to attach reverse gear, so you couldn't go back if you missed a turning.

Most great things start this way - stunningly cool ideas, with stunningly stupid mistakes.:mrgreen:

Right off the assembly line
It's just firefox with a couple of add-ons, that's true, but it can still be nice I think with the integrated download accelerator and bittorrent stuff I don't really like Opera's bittorrent client, altough it is basically a (very) nice browser.

I am running the windows version under wine right now and it works like a charm (just like regular firefox) so if anyone wants to try it out: just run the windows version for now

Thanks, but I am happy with my firefox at home and IE at office.

Why are you using IE at office, I am sure while you use IE at your office you must your firefox. After using firefox whenever I use internet explorer its like I am using Vincent car after using sports one.

I still don't get it - why is everyone intent upon making firefox derivatives ?

Despite 101 different firefox based browsers available for download, I still see firefox pwn them all since it can become any of those indivudual browsers if you:

(1) Compile your own build of firefox (for speed)
(2) Choose the addons you want (for features)

As far as bittorrent goes, this particular browser appears highly overrated.

On windows, flashget download manager intergrates wonderfully with firefox with a little help from flashgot addon and I don't see why you will need a seperate browser to help with downloads.

I used to use flashget intergrated with firefox for EVERYTHING related to downloads:

1. stream ripping (AKA downloads from rstp:// and mms:// sources)
2. eDonkey ed2k:// links (though its hard to find stuff these days)
3. BitTorrent
4. All normal downloads
5. Youtube ripping

Since its features are advanced enough, I don't need seperate apps for each protocol, like VLC Media Player for ripping streams, uTorrent for bittorrent, eMule for ed2k, etc.

For me using this browser on office laptop (XP) is more out of compulsion. All other browsers (FF3,IE8, Chrome, Safari) cr@pped royally on me. This is closest that I can get to FF.
