wtf, DDR3 RAM sticks are already expensive. I remember a 4GB RAM stick was around 1.2k a year earlier, now its ~2.5k. And new tech should reduce the price if old tech, why is the opposite happening?

We're all stuck buddy at one thing or another. Fortunately I went with a quad-core instead of a dual-core 3 yrs ago when I build my PC. It's paying off now.

BTW, i don't think the game will sell well on pc since it does not support dual cores, they just excluded the entire i3 series as well as the i5 mobile series..i am not sure whether this requirement is legit..(so even the weak fx 4100 will run this while a i3 4130 won't? wtf)..

Edit again: the creative director said that 6GB ram will be able to run the game only on low settings..

NO. Its a dual core

DDR3 will be slowly phased out of production. So price will increase. DDR2 is more costly for the same reason. But there is still time for steep price increase. It will be at least 8 months or year after DDR4 launch.

It will definitely run , i can assure you . If Ubisoft make some mechanism ( which i am highly doubtful) , that if the system has less than 6 GB ram or dual core i3 and i5 ,the game will not start then a fix will come ( remember 6 gb ram COD ghost fix?) which will encourage piracy . Ubisoft will have to release the patch to fix that or its their loss .

AFAIK DDR5 is not out yet. DDR4 is just barely entering the PC scene.
PS4 uses GDDR5 memory which is a derivative of DDR3. G here stands for Graphics memory. Even though it has awesome clocks, its timings are terrible which makes DDR3 a better choice for PCs.
Even if DDR5 were out, current systems will not benefit much as the CPUs will never be able to utilize its full potential. Maybe when we will have graphene CPUs....

All high end graphics card are GDDR5.
DDR5 is not even invented yet

I believe minimum cpu requirements are for consistent 60fps right? If thats true dual cores will work fine as Indian laptop users are used to pathetic gpus and 30fps gaming. Unless... the game doesnt start at all
