whats ur opinion on CM V8 , scythe mugen 2, xigmatek thors hammer ?

CM V8 ---> huge.
scythe mugen 2 ---> nice one
xigmatek thors hammer ---> name says it all. & is also very expensive. & i read, don't ship with any fans.

Well these are all good coolers in their class. All are bolt down, and only the Thor Hammer is HDT.

Though I would place them is performance (ascending):

CM V8 : Thors Hammer : Scythe Mugen

Again this is based on my reading about these. For sure CM V8 is the lowest cause its fan does not do the job, though the architecture, 4 layered towers is the best. Scythe Mugen has the best heat pipe system, where as Thor is HDT.

My choice is with the Noctua NH-D14, whose link I put on the first page of this thread. It is expensive, a bit shy of 5K. (Expect a review soon..hint hint).

Why did you buy it from ITWAREZ ? It was not available from MEDIAHOME ? Or was it a special deal ? What was the final landed price ?

OFFTOPIC: whats exactly is a Group Order? plz shed little light on it. also theres some like IC, etc.

Not sure what IC is...! GO is for group order, where the dealer starts a deal, and waits till a GROUP of people have ordered, then he imports in the equipment. Usually done for stuff, which is difficult to access within India. Noctua, Scythe for example.
