Just thought it looked cool the way the fans are reflected in the glass table top.
The GPU will be upgraded to either an RX 6950XT or a 4070Ti. Final decision has not yet been made.
Looking forward to any advice.
If plans work out, I may go so far as a RX 7900XTX.
My big doubt is, should I splurge on a top end card now and let it carry me for a few years, or should i just get a mid-range card now and then upgrade to a PCIe Gen 5 GPU when they become available?

If you aren't too much of a gamer, maybe look into 6700XT for now then upgrade after 2 years.
My issue with 6800XT & 6950XT are the brands. 7900XT/XTX are yet to get price cuts. 4070Ti can't justify that price with 12GB VRAM. So going beyond 6700XT, you have to make one sacrifice or the other.
Obviously if you have a lot of money, just get a top GPU, 7900XTX or 4080.

The chassis is a Fractal Design Meshify 2 in Grey with a light tinted glass panel.
Got it on Amazon for around 16K. This particular variant is no longer available there, though.
It is a great case to build in, and the panel in front of the motherboard can be moved to the left to create space for around 4 or 5 more drives.

I am now considering getting the 6950XT or 7900XT from Sapphire.
This is my first Radeon card in a long time. The last one was when they were still ATI, around 15-20 years ago.
None of the current nVidia offerings strike me as being worthwhile, and the 4080 is handily beaten by the 7900xtx, except in a few scenarios with ray tracing, and the two cards are very nearly the same price on Amazon.
The 4080 and 7900XTX are very nearly out of budget. I just wonder whether they will be worth the while in the long run, especially given that I am just a light gamer.
If I were to consider either of those GPU's, I think I would be more inclined towards the 7900XTX given the larger memory and the higher bandwidth, which will serve well with newer games. Ray tracing seems nearly on par.
I'm not that much of a gamer, so will probably just go with the 7900xt or 6950xt and wait for the PCIe 5 cards to launch.

7900XTX doesn't handily beat 4080. FYI, they perform similar, in some games AMD will take the lead, in others Nvidia.
In US, 4080 is like $200 or so more than 7900XTX. Here that's not the case, hence 4080 becomes a compelling option because of better ray tracing performance. I can see MSI 7900XTX for 104k (Asrock at 103k) & Gigabyte 4080 for 110k. AMD needs to price it under 95k IMO. Also in US, 4070Ti & 7900XT are similarly priced right now.
AMD GPUs are always overpriced at launch in India, has been happening for several years now.
Sapphire has after sales issues here, hence I mentioned brand as a con for 6800XT. If you are spending so much, such stuff is not expected.
Do explain what you mean by light gamer? Like games, resolution & fps expectations. If not 6700XT, you can get 6800XT for under 60k & upgrade after 2 years when new gen launches in late 2024.

By light gamer, I mean that I occasionally play one of the Call of Duty series games, and sometimes Half-Life 2 or 3. The kids love to play Minecraft and Roblox. That is about it.
I was thinking to start exploring some of the newer games, mostly in the FPS genre, which I why I wanted to upgrade from the GTX 1660Ti.
That and the fact that I plan to build the kids a PC using my old 8700K - Maximus X Code Combo, with the 1660Ti as the GPU.

Target resolution?
6700XT is still a good 1440p GPU. For something more powerful, get 4070 or 6800XT. Even 6700XT is enough for latest CoD at 1440p (I own an RTX 3070 which is just 10% or so faster than 6700XT & played latest CoD).
Target resolution is 1440p, which is what I am playing at now on my Dell UP2716D.
There is no pressing need to upgrade, just the desire to upgrade my GPU now that I have upgraded my system.
You know the saying, "One can never have enough".
I've been bitten by the upgrade bug, is all.

1660Ti is kind of old for sure, except for very heavy games that need 8GB VRAM even at 1080p, it is fine for most games at 1080p.
As I mentioned, 6700XT might actually be good enough for you without spending a lot (~33k).
1660Ti is similar to 3050 in this graph, so 6700XT will net you almost double the performance, 2.5x for 4070/6800XT. So take your call.
