Sharing info regarding reliability of laptop

^DV6 for 2 years (mine)
Friend got another DV6 a little above an year back
Two more friends got a DV6 6 months back
The latest addition in july is another DV6.

So its not some one off story I am talking about. When I say friend, they are also rommies since we all used to share an apartment. So it was pretty much always (mis)used by all.

Dv6 has served us well. My lappy does get hot after an hour of usage.

If someone calls HP good, he is lying / is ignorant / is too young,
if someone calls HP bad, he is a smart costumer.

Fact is you are paying 10k extra for a slower machine if you go for Dell. Ofcourse that 10k will go somewhere (Better customer care people).

Laptop cooler is not really a viable solution for many people,the laptop itself is too bulky heavy to the point of being fugly.
Why not ask people who have used dv6 for a year or more?

Why do you think someone wont spend a little money and apply thermal paste again after 18 months oh intense use. It is not HP's fault is users can't take care of their laptops

lol no lappy is lasting forever, not even your mac pros..and if you really want your system to last then better start taking care of it.


Coming to reviews, I asked you hp bashing guys to google a bit, why shall I when I'm already convinced that they make decent stuff, the thread is about convincing that hp is not a good brand.

so right there ball is in your court.

Why not ask people who have used dv6 for a year or more?

Here right in this thread you can find there are people who are using it for more than a year without any problems.

Dont get so much worked up buddy!That too for those dv series laptops.
HP will be very happy to know that even they can have such a rabid fan base.
