How do u go 26?
In one session or break it into two?
In multiple sets. Max is 12.

26 in a session is not possible for me yet. I have a penchant for bodyweight exercise.

Woh 26 pullups is good...I cant do even 1:sad:

Anyway, guys I thought it would be nice to have a record of total no. of pullups. It will keep me determined. I hope others will too try it out and make it as an indispensable part of their workout.

8-9 closegrip chinups
8-9 closegrip pullups

Currently I can manage anywhere between 35-40. Then I am supposed to go for widehand pullups/chinups but I can't so I use the machine.

15 Pullups today

Total= 26+15 = 41

10 pull ups + 10 Chin ups - Does that count as 20?
Pull ups only :)

Chin up is easier and requires different set of primary muscles.

10 standard chinups
10 standard pullups
8-9 closegrip chinups
8-9 closegrip pullups

I am counting only widegrip for my count. Anyway you should be able to do widegrip if you can do standard pull ups. Remember 1 repetition is done from dead hang pulling yourself up till your chin is above the bar and then go down to the dead hang position again.

I can manage if I start with wide front pullups. I go like this.

standard pushups > standard pullups > military pushups > standard chinups > wide hand pushups > close grip pullups > diamond pushups > close grip chinups > pushups (name i forgot) > pushups with legs at a higher position.

After that I am supposed to go for wide hand pullups/chinups but my hands give up. :( So have to use machine.

^^should start with Pull Ups first. Try doing push ups on one leg and medicine ball push ups.

Btw Military press and pull ups combo works awesome. Because you will be using antagonistic muscles and that gives you even more power doing pullups. Take enough rest in between.

I am kind of following P90X so it has push ups first. But yes, pullsup get a lot harder after pushups. Might try the other way around. Btw, you drink Soy milk? What company? I tried Godrej Natural Flavor. It tastes awful. Smells horrible. I can't stand it. The one from some other brand costs Rs. 200 and this one costs Rs. 75. I didn't go for a flavoured one because of sugar. :\

^^Yeah, I used to drink Soy Milk. Both, flavored and natural. Only two brands Staeta and Godrej. Though, I never felt it so awful in odor and taste was at best neutral.

6 pullups today

Total = 41+6 = 47

22 Pullups today (sans the standard pull ups)

Total= 71+22 = 93

26 Pullups today

Total= 93+26 = 119
