hi.my specs are :-
intel core i3 530
intel motherboard dh55tc
gigabyte hd7750
6 gb ram
cooler master elite 350 w psu
as me exams are coming up,i decided to put away my hd 7750.after that i wanted to test my i3,so i played sleeping dogs.of course,it played terribly, with even the lowest setting not giving playable rates.after 20-25 mins of playing, the system shut down abruptly.i tried to restart the system, but it wouldn't start.so i turned off the psu, there was a spark and on turning it on,even the motherboard light wouldn't lit.i replaced the psu with an older one,and the system worked fine.i know the psu has gone ,but i want to know why.i didn't think that i3 could overload the psu.even still, with no gpu, shouldn't the psu have been able to handle that?
thanks in advance for reply.
