Better size is 640*480 imo serve the purpose as well as good for low bandwidth/gprs connection.

We can't enforce such low resolutions due to gradual shifting of users to a better BB connection. You see, data service penetration in society is increasing day by day. Both sides have to balanced .

higher precision matters much if u play on a bigger screen / resolution, like on 1920x1080 if u use 400 dpi, u will notice pointer is jumping between places, instead of rolling.

consider higher dpi if u have big screen.

2.5k dpi is more than enough. I am sure you won't use even that much unless you like to play on freakishly high sensitivity. I also play on 900p with 630 DPI. Haven't encountered any of the issues icebags have mentioned so i guess 2.5k will be perfectly ok. What i am trying to say is that make your decision based on other factors as both have enough DPIs to fulfill your needs. DPI will matter if your mouse has a limit of say 400 dpi or maybe upto 1000 beyond that it doesnt matter much. With 2.5k you really don't have anything to worry about. What matters more is the tracking capability of the mouse, size of teflon feet for better glide, shape of the mouse to suite your grip and overall ergonomics of the mouse if you are going to play for long durations and finally responsiveness of its button and sensor or in other words Polling rate.
