Just called infibeam. This is what they said:

13(rakhi),14th(sunday) & 15th(independence day) are public holidays, so they are not included in processing time.

:banghead:

Sarath, dont get siberia. Get 7H ;)

LOL...I changed my siggy just for you bro...

The 7H is too expensive. Will get something around 5k tomorrow from SP Road.

Meh, its just 3 more days. And its Cash on Delivery, so if it doesnt arrive on time(august 25th), I will give Flipkart a call.

Siberia Costs 6.5k and V2 costs 7.2k. How did the 7H (costs 8k at flipkart) suddenly become so expensive for you (that is, you are getting 5k Headphones)?

Oh and the guy who wrote the review has terrible English

V2 @6000
7H @8000
Roccat Kave @5600

Also did flipkart increase the price of 558? I remember vaguely that it was in 7000odds. Now its 9000bucks:shock:

@sarath:yes they did. in fact I had a chat with them regarding this. in fact the prices of almost all products not marked there at MRP were imcreased.

where did you find V1 for sub 3k :O?
also, you can consider the HD 518, which has the best bass performance (due to nearly closed grill design)of all three 500 series cans.

Here is siberia V1 @~2.75k SteelSeries 51000 0GB Price India, SteelSeries 51000 Review, SteelSeries Headphone India - Infibeam.com

Locally also I got a similar quote. 2700 flat.

It's sad that flipkart increased the price. The 558s were pinned to my tab for more than a month so that I can buy them after my return from my vacation. But they had other plans. Its disheartening. It was around 7500 then and now its 9000. Thats a huge hike.

Any idea about infibeam coupons? I searched a lot but came empty.

@sarath:nope, no coupon :(
even I had it and the 598 pinned but 598 is now 11.5k which is a price that I cannot justify to my parents.even though I will be paying 6.5k from pocket money.
you can get 558 for 8.5 at infibeam. I would suggest that you dont get v1 siberia, it looks like unsold stock to me, as afaik steelseries dont make them anymore.

^I am thinking of getting the V1 now and when I have a decent dedicated soundcard I will shift to the Sennheiser ones.

The main reason is, the 256kbps mp3 songs don't do justice to the high end audio gear.
For my current usage scenario with mp3s, games and youtube the v1 should do.
Also once you get them I will see how good they are as an improvement and splurge accordingly.

Its just 2.6k so wont hurt much.

actually, the 500 series does fine with MP3 256k and WMA 192k. they only have 50 ohms impedence, so they dont need amps also.

I made a typo in my previous post- 558 and not 598 is available for 8.5k.

Sarath, you would be wasting money if you go for the siberia now and switch later. get the good stuff now and later wen you get soundcard, it will be more enjoyable. its not your money, but your parents money. they work hard so you may enjoy, so dont waste it like this.

BTW I am going to use onboard audio chip with the 558.

No AFIK. HAF 912 is better then CM 690 II plus. Why?
Answer: better air cooling system, perfect for massive overclickers.

Otherwise given that price, CM 690 II is better than HAF 912.

its not your money, but your parents money. they work hard so you may enjoy, so dont waste it like this.

Great quote dude. :)
