GTX460 should hardly be compared to the HD5870. Totally different classes. Yes the 460 when OC'ed can almost match the HD5850, but the HD5850 can also be OC'ed.

By the way, excellent choice of PSU. Have the same one. It rocks. Hell, it runs Xfire on 2xHD4890. Your games will rock. Enjoy

PS: Anyone with adequate knowledge please respond, the card will displace air through the back, the front and a bit through the side, so should I direct the bottom side fan in my zebronics bijli outwards(exhaust) or inwards(inlet)?

No way, i am not, its just a shot of bijli that i found in the net, just so that I can show you people the fan orientations, PLEASE ADVICE ME ON THE FAN SETUP AS I ASKED.

@D.Boon: If you plan to Xfire, will you also change your resolution. Currently at your 22" you should be fine on the HD5870.

@Tkin: That is one good card. Only thing I did not like, that they put the PEG inputs on the air intake vent. Anyways, keep both your side fans as intake. Good stuff.

Ok, I'll do that,, and I absolutely hate that power pin arrangement, I'll have to push the connectors in my HDD bay.

One thing, reference HD5850 is 9.5", mine is 10.5"+ the headroom for PCIe power connector puts it at effectively 15-16" range, its a biggy.

Yep i would like to but i suck in cable management , its a big mess inside my cabinet . please enlighten me on this .

Whatever you do don't buy GTX460 from palit, get anything else if you get that, HD5830 is very weak compared to the prices, get the 5770 instead, the next jump should be for HD5850/GTX460(not Palit/Zotac).

Memory bus comes to play at very high resolutions and with high aa settings, otherwise the GPU chip has to work most, the 5830 is cut too short, with ROP halved to 16, and TUs cut down to 56 this card is actually a broken HD5870, consumes more power than HD5850 and is generates heat compared to HD5870 levels, its like the GTX465, absolutely useless, read this excellent article: AMD?s Radeon HD 5830: A Filler Card at the Wrong Price - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News
