No sam I cant do that.My activities first then only comes HDD:) I put even my modem to UPS so that the session wont be disturbed by the power cuts.
I can actually browse/chat/download in back up for atleast 12min.

if you getting 12min backup. why you told PC turns off suddenly 2-3 times PM. i not able get what you told exactly.

just got a 5670 1GB and FSP Saga II 350W PSU for a friend. Got it for Rs6900 and Rs1570 resp from Ankit infotech , bangalore....

Just noticed, the FSP is 80%+ with APFC and has 27A on 12V, how does that compare to the Gigabyte Superb 460W PSU?

congrats on the purchase. which brand is that HD5670?

Gigabyte 460W is comparable to FSp Saga II 400W. afaik, both same units. Gigabyte simply rebrand it (the PSU colour remains same).

So the FSP is better and cheaper ? The gigabyte was Rs2200.....

a FSP Saga II 350W is enough for a basic home rig, until & unless you want install a HD5770 or above + OC your proccy. also will support multiple HDDs easily.

I didnt told that PC turns of suddeny.I usually put the downloads on when I go out of home.If the power goes and if it doesnt come before 12 min, the PC will be powered off with out shutting down. This happens 2-3 times in a month.

oh, well my old PC was & is still without a UPS for over a yr. no problem yet. but now its covered by Inverter.
Does the inverter switch fast enough not to trip the PSU? I've never seen an inverter(the ones used in homes) that switch as fast as an UPS.

@sam: the card is sapphire, i did not know that the 5670 was so small till i actually saw it :p

me2 same. when i received the box i thought it'll be around 9" long (or say at least comparable to GTX460) but it turned out the card around 1/2 the size of the box. also the card is really light.

well the old PC isn't in use for now & all work done in my new PC. when Inverter used to power the PC, it was 2out of 5 times. 2 times PC remains on. 3 times, its gone.

Just purchased Palit GTX460 1GB Sonic(no heatsink on VRM as usual) @ 14,040/-, images up in a few hours, has 2yrs(parts+labour)+1yr(parts) warranty.

Also purchased Glacialtech 80mm logic fan(1700RPM) for 135/- and another 80mm Cooler Master logic fan(2000RPM) for 125/-, both has 1yrs warranty.

BTW, if anyone in kolkata wishes to buy the GTX460 1GB Sonic Platinum model(core OC'ed to 800Mhz from 675Mhz, surpasses the HD5850 in 90% cases) the price is 15k+4% VAT.

P.S: I'd have put up some benchmarks and OC results but our fellow member mukherjee has done an excellent and thorough job, no use putting up double posts, refer here for details: *www.thinkdigit.com/forum/hardware-q/130031-nvidia-gtx-460-discussion.html

The idiots at palit put a warranty sticker on the heatsink screws, effectively screwing us, now I was just getting ready with some thermal fusion to go with it. Damn you palit.
