@rijinpk1 28MBps @USB3 ...isnt it slow for a usb3 device??
I selected Sandisk Extereme one coz it gave 55MBps write and 77MBps read on USB3 ..yes it definitely cost twice too, but the advantage of fast copying negates that...better for long run.

what conclusion?
it seems to be the best pendrive for its price of rs 650

I don't want to offend the user of the pendrive but just sharing my experience with all. Once I bought strontium memory card 16gb . For my tablet . It worked well for few days but after that all the data stored in it went woosh ... I had to format it then that happened again .finally got my purchase refunded and bought Kingston 16 gb card which is working well till now . (The strontium card was the cheapest in 16 gb cards . ) found out it was not at all reliable.

money is an issue mate. sandisk extreme plus costs more than double.

but reliability is an issue. there has been reports in internet where ppl saying their strontium memory went kaput after few months of use. if u can take the risk .....

may be. this is my first strontium product, so cant really say anything about its reliability.

Hello everyone!

a few things that i burdened myself with in past some weeks:

- Infibeam Pi (with case, for 2k, from forum):

*i.imgur.com/ShvwLsol.jpg *i.imgur.com/C2l3snpl.jpg

- about 35 'rainbow' DL-DVDs (got 2 bundles from one new seller on ebay; using 'rainbow' after a long time):

- Kalenji Ekiden 50 (road-running shoes, from Decathlon, for 1k; flipkart lists them for ~1.1-1.2k, went to Decathlon, which is near my home, and picked these up from there for less):

*i.imgur.com/AlQC0cQl.jpg *i.imgur.com/dWXLJkOl.jpg *i.imgur.com/4p5Scxcl.jpg

very light & comfortable, non-broad shoes; give the original goldstar'ish' feel. needed a good pair of shoes for post-recovery rehab from a foot-fracture, and these serve well. came out impressed by the Decathlon-personnel's know-how and polite demeanour. was a nice experience!

- TP-Link 5-Port Gigabit Switch (for a little less than 1k, using a disc.-coupon, from snapdeal):

*i.imgur.com/J70tGiel.jpg *i.imgur.com/O64FHsnl.jpg

- Logitech Squeezebox Classic (a long-cherished device, much needed, for ~9k from forum):

*i.imgur.com/DbV8lH5l.jpg

- Set of custom drivers for my floorstanders (14k, including speakers' internal re-bracing and drivers'+new baffles' installation); would post a short review on these soon:

- A/V-cabinet and TV back-panel (not exactly a direct purchase; got these made and installed for 35k; next step would be to get textured-painting done on the wall surrounding the back-panel sometime later):

- and, a Nexus 7 (2012) 32GB from flipkart, for 12k (-1k as cashback; SBI-offer). :)

you could always try, as the offer is extended to the customers from all the sellers present on flipkart. ;)

thanks! max. is i think something around/between 160 or 200W. sorry, i don't remember the exact figure. the drivers are Peerless Denmark. presently feeding them with DNM Audio A-777 amp, a powerful one, but with the new drivers-configuration, i am now no more feeling that earlier eclectic synergy between the amp & the speakers, hence would change the amp sometime later.

I am very intrigued by how you went ahead and chnaged the drivers. I believe that you have surely done your research, but why change the drivers onstead of say changing the whole setup. I am out of touch with this field but the last time I read there were some truly good standmount speakers at the 30-50k range from the likes of B&W, Wharfedale etc. And good music, I hear, is all about synergy rather - a well balanced setup can beat the pants off a bunch of 5* products strung together - Just what I read.

What are these floorstanders you currently have ? How much did they cost you ?

Congrats on the massive purchase btw :)

thanks! :)

the tweeter and i think the mids-driver of one of the speakers had gone bust. when went for the 'diagnosis', came to know that the whole config would have to changed. i chose the recommended Peerless Denmark drivers. though they were a little costly over the local-counterparts, but being good, decided to invest on them. didn't want to spend much, otherwise, as you have written above, it would've perhaps made more sense to get a new set, or most preferably, from a wide array of well-maintained FS-sets available for sale on forum ('perhaps' because, sometimes, even till a range of say about 50k, a branded set won't be able to deliver that kind of sound as what a custom-built and balanced/fine-tuned set with carefully designed crossover would, as per one's own tastes). so got the work done! i had got these FS (DSE AE2922; these are the front-speakers of a complete wooden-cabinet 5.1 HTS, being earlier available at Croma years back, but no more now) from a forum-member, for 7k, and for the price, the earlier drivers-config would produce some really terrific, fast-paced sound, and hence, my present amp used to compliment them well! this is how they used to look earlier:

*i.imgur.com/u4Tfvl.jpg

now, since the new drivers are better & more refined, i would need to change the amp to a more musical one, without compromising on the power. the first & foremost thing to choose for such a set-up should be a good source. have got hold of a Logitech Squeezebox Classic for now (a legendary line of music-player/streamers, with a good DAC); next in line would be a still better amp, and further ahead, i already have the speakers. ;)

however, those who are seriously interested & looking forward to getting a good set of floorstanders without going overboard on spending, then there's a really good offer going on for the new & widely acclaimed Pioneer SPFS52 speakers (again, the fronts of a full 5.1 HTS). check a few reviews on them; for instance, this. when i was about to invest in the new drivers, these were not available in the country, otherwise would've seriously thought of giving them a go. presently, these can be had for 15-20k in the offer, and for 35k for the whole system, which, i, and many others as well, think, is a steal! if anyone's genuinely interested, PM me, and i would redirect you to the source.

I'd have been interested, but not now. Living in a rented apartment means I dont want to pile in a lot of things here :|

Nice to know there are peple here to advice on stuff like these. I'd very probably in the market for these AV stuff - only a couple of years from now i guess :|
