no the psu fan is not rotating and it is not giving beeps.....Check if the SMPS/PSU fan is spinning or not? Is the PC giving any kind of beeps?
The SMPS can be checked if its okay by doing this:
1. Unplug the power supply cables from the SMPS to ur motherboard.
2. Plug the SMPS to the A/C power supply. Short circuit any two terminals having black and green wires. (The end giving power to ur motherboard) Remember 1 black wire to a green wire.
3. Check if the SMPS fan is rotating. If its not, time to get a new SMPS.
My friend had a similar experience. His PC wasnt starting immediately when he swtch it on.It was taking 5 min or so to start. It started after he put a 9400GT to the rig.His config was an old p4,asus mobo etc it was upgraded from an OEM PC.I told him that its SMPS problem and I went to check it.After opening the PC I was shocked; the rig was running in a 200W SMPSWhat would be the actual out put ? 140-150W? He was playing games in that rig
Splinter Cell DA ran fine in that condition
.Then a Zebronics 450W Sata Plus was fitted and the prob solved.
no no i have 450w supply
