I'm a web designer as well..... looking for a stable system at 50k (IMO, Photoshop should blaze away to glory on a 50k system :))

Fill up the questionnaire. Guys would need other data as well.

Don't go for Phenom II if you have the budget for i7. i7 beats any Phenom II hands down!!

Questionnaire added. I said "at least" 4GB RAM so 8GB is also welcome, just need to see will it fit in my budget?

50k is more than enough for your work. Just see to it that you have Large HDD [ 2 TB recommended ] , Good Monitor [ Definately 1080p] and of course a good processor [ i would recommened i5 2500 ]. You can cut down on the GPU , 6750 would be enough for your work. All of these will easily come in 50k.

Why i5 2500? Mitraark,

Can you give me sample configuration in your mind so I can search in local shops for price?

I am sorry i overshoot the budget by almost 5k, the monitor i suggested is a little costly , but i think its advisable to use a good monitor for Photshop and other designing purposes . You can get Benq G2420 LCD Monitor for around 11k.

Re: PC for web designer - Suggest One

Thx Mitraa. Why i5 can you tell me?

Designing usually involves Applications [ softwares ] which are very CPU Intensive , the i5 Processors currently give the best performance/price ratio among all , and this particular model is priced well enough , its a Value For Money buy.

Other processors like AMD Phenom X6 do not come close to providing same performance , and i7 is a bit overpriced.

SOme may frown at the low end GPU i have listed , maybe it does look to be less derserving in an otherwise well built machine , but i leave it up to you to decide on which aspects you are willing to spend more.

Re: PC for web designer - Suggest One

i5 single and threaded performance is strong (X6 can't compete with SB), so it's the best best BEST choice, especially for your purpose.

Go ahead with it, and remember, 8GB RAM. It's cheap yaar, about 4k only.

Re: PC for web designer - Suggest One

Well, other AIBs offer better Motherboards, with better components, plus the i7 2600k is 15.6k processor.

Meaning the INTEL mobo they are giving you might be a H67. Now H67 motherboards DONT SUPPORT OVERCLOCKING.

I strongly recommend buying a different motherboard.

Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 @ 9.5k

Why this?
1. Z68 motherboard
2. Overclocking supported
3. Quick Sync Supported
4. Bang-For-Buck motherboard

Now as the mobo budget goes up, you can greab this monitor instead:

BenQ G2222HD 21.5" LED @ 8.5k

So it leads to one thing and another. HENCE, JUST GO WITH THIS CONFIG I NOW SUGGEST YOU

Here's the FINAL CONFIG:

Core i5 2500 @ 9.5k
MSI H67MA-E35 @ 4.9k
Corsair 4GB*2=8GB Vengeance @ 2*2=4k
Corsair VX450W @ 3.5k
NZXT Guardian @ 3k
BenQ G2222HD 21.5" FULL HD LED @ 8.5k
2x Seagate 1TB @ 2.7x2=5.4k
Logitech Laser Desktop MK140 @ 0.9k
LG 22x DVD RW @ 1k

Now I just don't understand what GPU to suggest to you.
