Clear apps data.
Do a factory reset if problem persists.
There should not be any after cleaning data, cache and factory reset.

Please post the links of Google forum you mentioned.
2 of my came to me with similar problems(phone book and gmail),working perfectly after data wipe.

Who told about battery improvement?

Read about battery improvements in ICS :
ICS Battery life improved by ending... - xda-developers

Battery Life Improved with ICS update?

Also Sam reported improvements in battery in his CM9 Reveiw, but read about your fast drain when you were on CM9.

You are right,a lot of people with Nexus S is having massive drain on ICS.

Google probably will never be able to deliver a perfect o.s. even for their own phone.
So much more open source!

Re: Nexus s ics 4.0.3 update isuues

was having MIUI 4.0.3 till yesterday.
Shifted back to 2.3.7b Brainmasters rom due to these issues.

Havent tried the stock ICS Rom yet.

Re: Nexus s ics 4.0.3 update isuues

Well only for ICS battery can't drain that fast. As you're flashing it new and maybe yet to get used to it that's why you have a feeling like that.
When you first stepped into GB was battery cool from the first day, nah, you disabled some active-syncs, checked some wakelocks and disabled some bloatwares and blah blah and that took time, the same is needed for this new ROM.
Hope you got my point.

m using cm9 v1 pt1 nw with matr1x kernel....
feel jst like stock ics....
its gvng me 3 days of standby without any use of the phone....

Re: Nexus s ics 4.0.3 update isuues

Yesterday shifted to stock 4.0.3

It is faster and responsive...
But it is only the UI that i'm badly missing fron MIUI.
MIUI was very user friendly.

I have 2.0. It is k with the battery back up and performance. But i am not ok with the features.
Most of the ICS roms currently out there is either incomplete or unstable

heres the link,
[ROM] [i9020/23] CyanogenMod 9 v4.0.3 v2.1 - xda-developers

i used it...and battery life and performance has improved...

did u try miui 2.2.10...the latest version

nope..

All the ICS MIUI I tried were unstable. Either the DSP manager or the music app or something will crash.. I got irriatated and shifted to stock ICS and now to CM9.
But i must say that the gingerbread MIUIs were damn good..

BTB, i was having CM9 2.1 only. I misunderstood it was some new version you were talking about.
