Ok guys, the rig is here and boy oh boy it's much much faster than my Q6600, 8800GTS rig. It kills!
I'll post some pics tomorrow as I'm tired right now. Had to clean up my table, assemble, do OS installation and stuff.

Performance is excellent! I'm getting 50 FPS average in FarCry 2 with everything maxed out, full AA, Vsync enables on 1680x1050 whereas I used to barely manage 20FPS on my 8800GTS SLI system which used to heat up like hell!

Well, AMD.....you have another fanboy now.

Up the ante to 1920x1080 and keep the AA at 4x and try, u might get 45fps +.


And what are u gonna do with the 8800 GTS (320MB right)? U gonna xperiment?

My current Samsung T220 has a resolution of 1680x1050 max, so no full HD but I'll occasionally hook up my PC to my full HD TV for HD gaming. :D

I have the G92 version of 8800GTS which is 512MB and it still pwns! I'm gonna sell it off.

I tried out Ghostbusters and I was getting 60FPS all the time. :D

Yes, it's enough as there are almost zero power cuts in my area :D
Battery backup is pretty good.

Now I'm getting 100+ FPS in Ghostbusters :D
