1. Which Power Supply do you have? (Be EXACT while naming the company and model)
Ans: VIP GOLD 500W (Ready to change this total cost should be within the budget though!)

2. What is your budget?
Ans: 10k (PSU + CARD)

3. Which resolution will you game at?
Ans: 1600x900

4. What are your current computer specifications?
Ans: i7 - 930, 2x2 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD.

I'll be buying parts from Flipkart since they are sold very expensive in my dead city Nagpur. I looked around and had these in mind:

Corsair 500W + MSI HD 6770 (Total = 10.3k)

MSI R6850 8400 + Corsair CX430W V2 @ 2.3k from flipkart. overshoot budget by 700 but will suite your system more. also incase you want to go for a lower priced GPU, check HD7750 or HD7770

rather i will suggest u don't buy any gpu until april, wait for kepler. Prices may be drop. Hold a bit if u can.
Sam's suggestion is good, but if u wanna oc ur cpu+gpu, then anything bellow 500/550wt won't be a good idea.

No plans for overclocking.

I AGREE with sam, and i suggest one more option which is to wait for 7 series card, however, i wonder if you get a 7 series card better than 6850, please go through that,
otherwise sam has just given a perfect combination...

So I'll buy PSU for now. How's this Corsair 600W? In future, I might buy GTX 560 Ti as well, so would this be good for it?

^^ that will be a better decision. a beefy PSU will provide more headroom for future upgrade.

After a lot of deliberation, I decided to buy what SAM initially suggested.

Now, my question is, I don't have an A/C in my room, but I do have a cooler. Will cooling be an issue if I get MSI R6850 + Corsair CX430W V2 ?

nop .. if u r too much worried, u can remove left side door of ur case. but that does nt sounds to be a good idea though, but lots of guys do it without any issue. but it's ur choice.

you don't need AC or coolers. before (2005-06) processors, hard drive as well as GPU runs really hot. and with bad build quality of cabinets (read desi cabinet) an AC was required. but now, just add 2-3 fans in proper configuration like 2 intake, 1 exhaust and forget about AC. AC will help cool the cabinet mostly, not the internal. to cool the inside you need proper ventilation.

i don't have any AC in my room still i get 48-50 max for processor & 55 for GPU. hardly crosses 55.

I finally ordered Corsair 600W PSU from Flipkart and got it today.

It cost me 3.7k that's okay since my budget doubled :D

So, now I need a graphics card until 17k that will suit my system!

wait for HD7800 to show up in market or if you can wait a little more wait for keplar - if you can't wait grab R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC ;-)

So finally got the Corsair 600W + MSI GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr! This is bloody awesome!

The only thing I worry about now is that my cabinet is just too heavy and everything's so cluttered in there. But, so what? I can play all the games at high settings! Yo!
