A: No.

13. Which city do you live in and are you open to buying from shops from other city/states?
A: Bangalore. No.

14. Mention any other points if deemed necessary
A: Processor has to an Intel one. In fact he's already finalized Intel Core i5-2500 and Mobo is Intel DH67CL. Gor the GPU please suggest both Nvidia and AMD [probably 550 Ti and 6850]. For the Cabinet either Coolermaster or Corsair is preferred since its easily available. And he's already purchased the OS so none required.

Of the primary objective is to game then its better to opt for a 6850 than a 550ti since the 6850 performs way better and consumes less power.
However try amping the budget up by a bit to get a better card.

i5-2400 way better than 955BE.
Price of HDD is high at this moment. So, buy 250GB HDD for now & upgrade later.

Will the RAM be enough if he tries to upgrade for a x64 Win7 OS? Among DVD writers which is good Asus or LG? Any other good PSU other than FSP would be good.

1)4GB is enough for win7 64bit.
2)ASUS DVD RW is best IMO.....m using from 2007 without any single problem.
3)Well FSP is very good smps but you can also consider Corsair CX430V2@2.5k.

Okies.

I'm really trying to squeeze 6850 into this rig but I guess it's not possible. Anyway is 6770 better than 550ti? Also can you suggest any other PC case from Corsair or Coolermaster to fit into this budget?

NZXT Gamma is best value for money cabinet. CoolerMaster cabinet is possible at your budget, but build quality would be worse than that of Gamma. Gamma is such kind of cabinet which would easily last for 3-4 builds if proper care is taken. ;)
No, Corsair cabinet can fit into your budget.

Will the 550ti perform well at high resolution and settings for the above mentioned monitors? Is it enough to play MW3, Battlefield 3, Crysis and other games?

@Full HD , High settings gaming a 560 Ti is a bare minimum , for anything less than this a 6850/550Ti should do i guess , i hvae gamed on a 8600gt at 1400 by 900 with high settings (aa , af off) , so it all depends on how much minimum frame rate you need to game on.

There is no way of comparing 550 Ti with HD 6850. HD 6850 offers far better performance than 550 Ti. 550 Ti actually performs lower than HD 6790, a stripped down brother of HD 6850.

For full HD gaming HD 6850, GTX 460 1 GB or GTX 560 (non Ti) versions should be the choice. Their price is around 9K (for HD 6850) to 11K (for GTX 560 Non Ti).

So for Full HD, atleast try to get HD 6790 1GB GDDR5, available around 8 to 8.5K. The price of 550 Ti is same but it offers less performance and has very high power consumption.

What are the games you have played on that Gfx card? 30 FPS should be target to have decent gameplay experience. anything below 25 FPS is not onsidered good game playing experience.

BF3,MW3,Crysis will run on a 8600GTon high settings at 1400X900@max 10FPS

Thank you Cilus. So, my choice should be first for HD 6850 if not the HD 6790 right? Should I go with Sapphire or Msi for these cards?
