I'm planing to buy a new phone this month, the budget is about 15,000...
any company is ok... but d minimum specs are 600+ mhz processor and 512mb ram.. pls suggest me a good phone...:smile::smile: and android wud b much better....:grin:

HTC Wildfire S (not the old wildfire). should be launched by this month's end. or Ace (with a lot od small problems).

Wildfire S is expected to launch in a month and will be priced approx 15K and if u can wait till then it would be the best for u.

@pravi, for the kind of pricetag wildfire looks like a bad buy inverting of ace but overall it'll be better buy. Cause ace excels in 1 area & flops in next. But wildfire s should be a steady walk towards success. But it'll become clear once out gets launched here.

battery life & Sense UI is a bit too heavy for the 600Mhz proccy but overall its better than competitor. also about the shutdown issues, it'll be resolved before HTC releases it here.

I am too suffering the same confusion and my budget is 10k.

The two options i am confused between are:-

1) LG OPTIMUS1 P500 @ 9.5k

2) DELL XCD35 @ 10.5k

XCD35 isn't VFM. what you basically get is a bigger screen & a bit higher resolution. but a slow processor, 256Mb ram, Android 2.1, a low rating battery. these can't be replaced & so best to go with O1 for now.

PS: i remember reading optimus one's review @ GSMArena where they stated that O1 is late to party. but till now no other mobile have been able to replace O1 as most VFM Android @ 10k.

^XCD35 has Android 2.2 according to Dell's official website. But it has only 256MB RAM as you said.

GSMArena shows the OS to be 2.1 & dell as 2.2. maybe they are releasing updated XCD35 but Google revealed no info.

Some members on TE have received 2.2 when they bought XCD 35. Also you can get your XCD 35 updated to 2.2 at any Dell Service Center for free now.

All new units ship with 2.2.

so no OTA update. this will hurt Dell more than its users, having to update it rather than leaving it to the user to do the hard work.

Wave II for high end hardware(other than ram which hurts a lot for power users)
O1 P500 for value for money.
Samsung Ace for Android @15K budget. Got poor battery, but hopefully gingerbread update will help in that segment.

I dont think Dell XCD35 is manufactured by dell, its just marketed under its branding. I would stay away from such stuff. Only Streak, Venue and Venue pro are truely by Dell AFAIK...
