How many of you are really worried about official warranty?
A minimal mechanical damage,a minor spill just to change the colour of the sensor,BANG!!you are on your own!!
@op,if you can take care of SW glitches yourself(I have seen people here who go to service centre for a SW update,scared to root Android!!)go ahead,give it a shot!!
16k is tempting for such a beautiful phone!!

Guys a common question, isn't there a thing called international warranty? How Nokia is going to find out I blagged the invoice and seeking free repairs, ever? My sony stood with me for 1.5 years this way until a smart serviceman caught it! :p

I guess having experience of modding my k790i to atleast 4 different mods and presently modded W995 to acoustic and camera mods, makes me eligible for taking-care-myself part, right?

get the lumia 800, you will not regret it + there is the WP 7.8 update coming. Take the plunge. 16k is a good price.. red dragon has a point but you have to decide.
and like you said cash is not the issue in one of your posts , then get the TDKR edition ;)

16k, 21k or 25k .. for your usage the 800 is good.

lack of knowledge. focus is 1st gen, it does not have adreno 205. it is 1 ghz where as lumia 800 is 1.4 ghz.

Games run perfectly on lumia 800.And there are a lot of games now. Don't post if you don't know.

A guy here, deals in imported products especially mobiles. He got few of them imported in feb last when it was 30K and onset of march it became 23K (remember KLPD!:p), he incurred huge losses and since then due to the price decrease its lying as it is. :-D

Cash is not an issue doesn't mean I will buy any tom dick n harry edition. And you must have noticed my DKR thread post that I barely liked DK...
puns apart point is if I can get the aftermarket apps same as DKR, there's no way in hell I am going to pay 5-6K extra just for a laser etched batman on the posterior of my phone! Guess I made me clear enough!!

c'mon, I said it in light and healthy way! Warranty hardly matters, there are several reflashin tutorials doing rounds on internet. :)


UPDATE: Guys sad news! Person was only having girly pink or cyan color! but not black! :( I was like dafuq! :(
And the quest continues...

Black...is the universal color. Any tile, theme et al will strike a tune instantly. Cyan, pink will take special permutations and coupled with bright colors, they at times might be too eye catching. Cyan looked cool but nowhere deadly near black!

^Thanks dude! However cart2indiaonline messed up my ebay orders, thanks god it was ebay got refunds. Rather will buy from ebay at few bucks more and get a wireless logitech gaming mouse+kb combo or a samsung E2252 metro free! !Just that since deal is valid till 31st July, waiting for some nice deals to comeby or else will grab a deal!

Ok guys, screwing the wait and further boring the life out of you, ordered a sealed pack brand new lumia 800 at 18.3K (Axis CC coupon) from ebay.in. Fingers crossed, hope every thing is fit as a fiddle! :)

Ok guys, surprising the hell out of me, Overnite courier delivered it straight from strife torn Assam to Delhi in flat 36 hours! Received the Lumia 800 yesterday in evening, though was too tired to unpackage, will do the same today and few impressions might as well.
:)
