It happened to me when using Tata some times ago. But that problem was for LAN connection. There was some problem of router configuration. Tech person came home to change it. After that there is no problem now. Ask Airtel to send somebody to check settings. Also use LAN instead of USB interface.

There is no need of calling any Airtel man.
Just shift to LAN interface..problem solved.

And if1 want to ask anything regarding Airtel setting, ask me.

LAN setting:
IP-->> 192.168.1.2
Subnet mask-->> 255.255.255.0
Default gateway-->> 192.168.1.1

DNS-->>call airtel customer care at 121

the default gateway of modem provided by Airtel is 192.168.1.1

so,the IP of your LAN card will be in series.........
192.168.1.XX

where XX can be anything between 2 to 254
