Okay...3 years of living alone in Australia and 4 months so far in Switzerland have brought me down to this:

1) I am able to cook a variety of 20-25 dishes ... both Indian and Italian...

2) I wash dishes...

3) I do laundry...I iron clothes...I freaking buy two separate detergents depending on if I'm washing normal or woollen clothes.

4) I also do a bunch of other stuff I'm not too fond of...

Here's the thing...I feel like I'm becoming very much of a lady these days. Anyone else here can identify? Or am I having my testicles bagged up for me one of these days??

Even I love cooking and can prepare a host of delicacy. None taught me to cook, learned them all by trail n error methods. I cook, wash dishes and clothes in Dubai but here in Chennai, only cooking.

I think this is all good. Girls like to have hubbies like us. :D

I sometimes do cooking, do laundry regularly, shop for groceries, pay utility bills here in US. I have been here for around 2 months now.

Only when you do these things, you'll realize how hard your mom/wife work. It's not easy as it sounds. Cook for a week and you'll know what I'm talking about. I lost like 3-4 kgs in a month without going to gym, running/jogging or working out...

We lived for days without eating anything from our house, so i realized that i wont be able to take dinner or anythin is i dun work, as they wont work even hell's breaking in.
They just keep watching TV shows[yup, TV SHOWS].
Thank GOD, im now at home nd more than happy.

I feel your pain, brother! One and a half years in hostel, and I'm already as good as my mother at washing clothes - no wait, better - she uses an automatic whirlpool, i use detergent and a brush! I rustle up sandwiches and some coffee every evening at five before going to play, and a hot soup after dinner. Thank god for the mess, else I'd be stuck with REAL cooking! Thank god there're two years to go before that!!! :D

But now I am feeling relaxed as we hired a cook to do all those stuffs....

I'm learning to cook now. I think it helps. I was commenting as to how bad my mom cooks for which she told "If you find my cooking bad, you can learn to cook". That's more like a challenge. It's not bad. Long way to go before I can start cooking non-veg. I would love to show off my skills then. I do wash utensils, occasionally. Sometimes, I have to clean the house. It's no big deal dude. You see a lot of people doing these chores :)

1) I am able to cook a variety of 20-25 dishes ... both Indian and Italian...

I am able to cook many indian dishes for breakfast, lunch & dinner...some chinese fast food, burgers....french fries at home too.

2) I wash dishes...

Tell me about it, since I m not eating on time these days, I was my own dishes after the maid has compleated washing rest of the utensils.

3) I do laundry...I iron clothes...I freaking buy two separate detergents depending on if I'm washing normal or woollen clothes.

Ok, here I just put the cloths in washing machine & listen to music while the machine washes....detergent is something didi buys.

4) I also do a bunch of other stuff I'm not too fond of...

Hmm...depends on what those work are.

Here's the thing...I feel like I'm becoming very much of a lady these days. Anyone else here can identify? Or am I having my testicles bagged up for me one of these days??
