Buddy, 30K is a good budget for the components you've mentioned. But I'll suggest you to upgrade to a Wide sceen and higher resolution LCD panesl. CRT is not accepectable now a days and a good LCD can be accomodate your budget too without sacrifysing anything. CRT is simply not suitable for HD movies.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 6.4K
Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 AM3+ @ 4.8K
Corsair 4GB X 2 1333 MHz DDR3 Value Ram @ 2.2K
Corsair CX 430V2 @ 2.4K
NZXT Source 201 Elite @ 2.4K
Optional Upgrades:
Display: BenQ G2220HD 21.5" 1080P Full HD LCD @ 7K
Graphics card: Sapphire HD 5670 512 MB GDDR5 @ 3.9K

Total 28.9K. This config is a highly balanced config for your programming and HTPC purpose as well as added benefit of gaming.

Other wise:

Phenom II X6 1075T (6 core, 6 MB L3, 3 MB L2, 3 GHz) @ 8K (techshop.in)
Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 AM3+ @ 4.8K
Corsair 4GB X 2 1333 MHz DDR3 Value Ram @ 2.2K
Corsair CX 430V2 @ 2.4K
NZXT Source 201 Elite @ 2.4K
Sapphire HD 5670 512 MB GDDR5 @ 3.9K

Total 23.7K. You can still get an HD Display with it.

Thank you so much for the quick reply Cilus. I prefer Intel processor. If you could provide a config with Intel processor, that would be great.

Thanks.

Cilus's given config is very good , go with that . If you have any reason for only going for Intel please tell why (any specific application).

^^ If you want only Intel based config then try to get Core i5 2400 @ 11K and Intel DH67BL-B3 @ 5.4K.

The AMD Phenom II based config is a nice suggestion from CILUS.

Fetch few more hundreds by selling off the CRT monitor.

Here goes your Intel config.

Thanks rajesh.

One question, Is it better to buy from SP Road or from any online site. I just checked with PrimeABGB. The price there for I5 2400 is 10500/- and DH67BL is Rs.5800/- .

^^ yes, its a good site.. First check locally, u will get better deal. If not,go online for particular product... i had experience with anandit and golchha at s.p.road.. they are good, u can make good deal with anandit...

Even i am from tirupur, i prefer buying in bangalore.. whenever i need a upgrade i'll travel there, i dont prefer online much. Bangalore rates are better than chennai (which is second largest electronic market in india).
