i have a p4 2.66 ghz , 80 GB hard disk,1gb ddr ram , 250W psu
i am using windows xp sp3
i want to add a 500 GB hard disk so want to know whether the psu will be able to power another hard disk.
if yes then please recommend which one
i will be buying a new pc in a month so please suggest which is the best hdd.

You could buy a new psu in fact a FSP Saga 350W to be safe

Its Eco Friendly and consumes relatively less power

i am going to buy a new pc in most probably a month so for now i just want a hard disk

any of those green HDDs from seagate or WD will do, your PSU should be able to support it

HDD require very less amount of power , you can easily add one.

I recommended 1 TB because that gives Price / GB ratio . Rs 1700 for 500 GB, Rs 2400 for 1 TB

yea 1 TB now a days r base minimum...best bang of buks....
well if seagate is better choice ... though i have both WD and seagate ...
both are gud in replacement wid WD home pick up and drop.

Though both are extremely good, my vote goes to Western Digital.
Main reason is free home pickup and drop.
