seeing all facts, I suggest cling to the iPod 5.5G 30 GB and buy it. Its the best you can get. RockBox will only make it jucier. The Zen will probably be cheaper than the nano.
thats why I recomended iPod Video 5.5 G 30 GB. You get much more screen and space in it, you don't need to worry about the memory going kaput after a few hundred thousand write cycles, and you can make partitions in it, use it as a portable hard disc, as well as play games in it. You can even boot from it.The price difference is too high man for Creative Zen here as compared to US. For example
Creative Zen V Plus 1 GB costs Rs 3800 in India & in US its $ 59.99(Rs 2,400)
Creative Zen V Plus 2 GB costs Rs 4500 in India & in US its $69.99(Rs2,800)
Creative Zen 4 GB costs Rs 8000 in India & in US its $99.99(Rs4,000)
Yeah, it's pretty much the same situation for most electronics. The price difference is too high man for Creative Zen here as compared to US. For example

Why, what's wrong with it?Please dont post me the link of the Apple website where it gives the list of Resellers in India.
Well, such people are not generally musicphiles. For you guys iPod Shuffle is enough. Or the T-Sonic 610. Or the Zen Stone. But not all are like you. There are some who have bought the 160 GB iPod only because they actually keep rips of every movie they own in it. There is nothing better than watching a movie in a crowded bus .@MetalheadGautham,
Some people don't have huge libraries. Mine, for example, only amounts to about 680MB. And some people want a tiny player that they can carry around everywhere they want and which can handle some abuse.
thats what you think. Non Apple fans who buy iPods due to informed desicions always install RockBox. perhaps linux is less used. Even those guys who don't have rockbox are influenced into installing it by their peers who show off customisable user interfaces, games, extra formats, etc in the iPod. But apple fans who beleive Apple gives the best they ever need stick with the default firmware.Plus, believe me, no one wants to run Rockbox or iPod Linux or whatever.
My Music/Video collection is over 200 GB, but its a different issue that my HDD is only 80 GB and I have a T Sonic 610. Most of my stuff is in DVDs.
