Getting a FX4100 and not overclocking does not make much sense, you will be better off buying an i3 rig, which is good for gaming. Achieving better frame rates than the FX 4100.

thnx man

bt 4 mobo wnt ASUS M5A88-M b enough

Yes, but the 970 will provide a better upgrade path.
You can add another graphic card later, if you are not satisfied with the performance, a better board.

But you will be well off with M5A88 too, there will not be any difference.

6850 is way better than a 6670.
6850 will max almost all games at 1600x900, and some at 1920x1080 AA Off

This Rig is much more balanced. For gaming performance, Phenom X4 960T and FX 4100 have almost same performance. Also it is at par with the i3 but still, a quad core is today's and near future's need. So going for Phenom X4 960T makes much more sense.

Also, there is no need to suggest high power PSUs to some configurations which won't even come close to utilizing it. The Corsair CX430v2 will be enough to handle the CPU and GPU on full load. Also, for the sake of choice, OP can also go for Seasonic 430W which costs almost the same.

The Gigabyte GA970A-UD3 is a bit of overkill for you IF you are not into some overclocking. You can save bucks by going for the Gigabyte GA880GM-USB3 for 5000. The former board is valuable ONLY if you -

1. Overclock.
2. Have plans to crossfire the GPU.
3. Need more USB and SATA ports.

I see that you need nothing like the above from your computer, so going for G880GM-USB3 will be much better choice.

Moreover, save a couple of more bucks (300) by going for a 1333MHz ram rather than Gskill 1600MHz ones. Performance difference is just negligible.

Definitely a better congif but OP is not overclocking.
At budget gaming 960 or i3 is not going to matter much as most games will be GPU bottle necked.
Make that 1333 MHZ, hardly makes a difference over 1600 MHZ ones
I just copied a table and made changes so forgot the RAM and PSU changes.

960T is better over 4100 as of today, but I am very curious how it will turn out after Windows 8.
Recommending BD processors are more of a gamble, Will OP be better off with a 4100?

6850 is much better than 7750

if you want to OC, go for the Phenom II 955BE as BE series is made for overclocking.

Also the FX series is not bad, its your call but still I aam with the Phenom II

I think 955BE has vanished from everywhere and very hard to find one.

Also one thing I want to mention that 960T has a great chance of getting unlocked to a 6 core processor.

For motherboard, another alternative is Asus M5A88M, currenly available at Flipkart @ 5.4K but I have news that it has a far lesser street price, sometimes even below 5K.

But the thing is if you are not overclocking, better get i3 2100. In gaming performance it is ahead of Phenom II X4 960T or 965. Also the street price isas low as 5.8K + tax.

I already recommended him to get 1333 MHz as optional if he needs it ;-)

Regarding the Bulldozer performance in Windows 8, it's a kind of gamble. And Windows 8 won't take over W7 anytime soon, so getting a processor just for the sake of performance in a new OS which won't be getting mainstream in the near future, is foolishness.
Moreover, getting a Black Edition processor does not necessarily mean that you are overclocking.

955 has vanished, true. Getting 960T is the best option i think. Even if i3 is ahead of gaming performance than the Phenom X4 960T, ffs, it's a quad core processor which can also become a hex core if you are lucky! Obviously this is a kind of future proof deal for OP if he opts for 960T.

Yes for motherboard, he can opt for the Asus M5A88M, or Gigabyte GM880-USB3 board which has both USB3 and Sata 6 gbps ports.

A bit offtopic - Guys I think we should not recommend these speakers Altec Lancing BXR1221, they are pathetic. My sister has it, and it sounds terrible. Getting a creative 2.1 speakers is a much much better option.

For now don't go for the FX series processors as they have some issues with Windows 7. Better opt for the Phenom II X4 processors which are well proven. Get the 960T as suggested here.

GO for it you will never resist anything better than that
Its better if you can Extent budget to 45k then you could buy a good graphics card for better performance AMD 6850 will be sufficient for the game you have listed but there will be awesome new games like ACIII,Maxpayne3 ,Black ops2 which will be releasing in future it requires you to have good GPU for playing good games

From the above suggested configs I can see that 13-14k is the budget for CPU+Mobo. Now as you don't wanna OC why not go with i5-2400 for 11k with ASUS P8H61M-LX at 3.1k? It'll give better performance than 960T,FX 4100 and i3-2100. For GPU HD 6850 is a must. Other parts that have been already suggested are good enough. What say?

It is better than regular 6850MSI HD6850 1GB Cyclone PE @ 9.8kGet this Total budget will be 43070 lit bit more than your budget gives you better performance
Sapphire HD6850 1GB @ 9.5k
Sapphire HD6850 1GB TOXIC @ 10.8k
