5220 costs more than 6k ... 5130 is under 6k ... 5220 is slightly better has it has nokia maps and a few other cool features ... gsmarena just reviewed the 5130 and were really impressed by its music quality ... so both 5130 and 5220 have great audio output ... if u can splurge a lil , go for the 5220 ... else 5130 (dont worry ... u wont miss much) ...

I got Nokia 5130 for Rs. 5900 (few bucks extra for 2 year extended warranty). On the first few hours of use I found it good enough, but even though it is an express music phone, the sound quality is same as nokia 7210 supernova which my dad got a few days back. dedicated keys don't work if keypad is locked or screensaver is active, so what's the utility of a dedicated key? overall i felt I could have waited a few months and got this phone for around Rs. 5500, that would have been a good price for this phone. UI has got nothing new as i have been using nokia phones for years now, it always remains the same. now I will be satisfied only if it sounds good on creative's earbuds, that is the only feature which i got this phone for, supports 3.5mm headphones.

well all fones will sound the same wid the crappy earphones that nokia provides ... but to be fair , that brings the price down and their major function is just as a handsfree ... thats the same on all XM fones ... dedicated keys donot work when keypad is locked ...

Hi buddy , you are facing similar problem as i did . I created a thread to ask members how is sound quality of samsung i450 and everyone said it is awesome . I particularly asked if i450 sounds good with creative ep-630 and still everyone said that it was very good but only after buying i450 i realized how wrong everyone were . No doubt the sound quality was good but it had very low volume with other headphones . I seriously doubt how many members actally have used these phones before commenting . I had to spend
more then 2k for reasonable headphones and now i am planning to sell my i450 .
Conclusion - best thing is to go and get a demo of the phone personally from a good showroom and malls and not to blindly listen to all suggestions posted here .

yes its possible that people comment without having used the phone, but many of them might have used their friends' for a few mins, many comment as they use other models from the same series and features are similar. the fact is, if they don't comment, we will stop coming to this forum even when they can comment. so we people need to reply to keep the forum up and running, besides, I never said the phone was bad, i just said i felt i spent Rs. 300 - 400 more on this phone.

Come on , just admit that you were spoilt by n91 , get over it

. And even you'll agree that i450 is very good at sound quality . you're used to super loud volume that's so unnatural . Just for example , i hardly ever put my volume over 70% in 5800. Everyone have different taste. Just because your taste dont match with other dont mean you/others are wrong.

Dude , i am not comparing i450 with n91 . Do you have any idea how loud the volume of i450 is with any other headphones ?
I had w810 earlier and volume of i450 through Ep-630 is allmost half that of w810 , so now you can compare . Who will acknowledge the sound quality if you cant hear anything in slightly noisy condition . Forget n91 comparing it ith my friends 5310 express , 60% loudness of 5310 = max of that of i450 .
So i can conclude that you had no idea about this problem before posting in my thread .

Yes i've heard . Actually while my friend was shopping for n81 , i checked n81 / w910/ i450 side by side with a bose headphone(the one that nokia provides for demo). I450 was loud enough for me. And i could hardly listen to 60% on n81. W910 was worst among the lot.

Go see your thread again , i've always said that n81 is loudest and best .

Btw what phone are you planning to buy again ? This time try to take a demo of n81 with ep630 , you wont be disappointed.

Actually i did use the nokia headphones with my i450 and they were ok only if headphones alone were connected . If they were connected via adapter and mic they were worst . I have tried n81 and it sounded really good .I prefer n81 for music over i450 .
Any way now i am buying a simple 2-3k phone and also ordered a used ipod touch 2g from ebay for 8k . I had a touch earlier which got lost . Hope this new touch fullfills my multimedia needs .
